If this has already been asked, I'm sorry to be asking again. (I didn't find in a search.) I am planning a trip at the beginning of December. Would anyone happen to know when the Cast Member holiday party is? Is it true Disneyland will close a little early? And is it over two nights? I want to try to avoid this so we don't miss fireworks/snow. Thank you for your help! pirate:

when i booked today the CM said it is traditionally on a Tues/Wed. the first week of Dec. but the candlelight procession is usually the first weekend of DEc and it will be the second weekend of Dec this year so she was unsure of the parties. she said it might end up being during the 2nd week this year.

*tail wags at warp speed*

Doing the banana happy dance!!! Oh yeah!

If this is true... my week will have NO CM days and I get the bonus of the Candlelight procession.

WOO HOO!!!

*starts singing*... "Yo ho, yo ho..."

So looking at a calendar you think the Candlelight Processional will be Dec. 8 & 9, with the cast parties the T & W following that? We're thinking about a Dec trip also and I want to avoid those.

I don't want the parties to be then,I thought they were going to be the first week:confused3 I wouldn't have booked it dec 8th to 12th if I thought our last night was going to close early! lame

This might sound really niave, but I really have no idea about Disneyland or anything so the question is what are the cast parties and processional? Also what are CM days? Sorry again, we have just decided to go, and really have no clue about anything. Is the week of Dec. 1st - 8th a good week or are we going to miss a bunch of stuff?

everything will be open, you might have a bit more crowding, and the park might not be open as late...the candlelight processional is a christmas event that draws big crowds, that might happen dec8th,the cast parties are a few days afterwards and the park closes earlier those evenings...

If you made your reservations through the Disneyland site, you can change your dates for a $25 fee.

Just a thought.

I am going to wait until the dust settles on the information related to...
A.) When IS the Candlelight Processional going to be?
B.) When the heck is that darned CM party going to happen?

Then I may change my dates based on those facts.
Until then, the rumors will fly.
My luck is usually the pits, so your week will probable end up being the best one. Don't fret yet.

Just to let you know, there's still fireworks/snow on the nights of the CM parties--they're at 5:45. The park will hard close after that--no lingering on Main Street for shopping as the park has less than 2 hours to get ready for the party. And they're a Monday and Tuesday, usually.

Really? This makes me feel better. I will be sad not to watch the park close, but at least I will see the fireworks/snow if the party is happening when I'm there. Thank you!!

yeah my luck is usually pretty bad too:rotfl:
we thought about changing it to the first weekend, but with my luck they will change it to then! We are staying at the dl hotel and I am paranoid if we wait to book that there will be no airfares that are direct and no rooms left:eek: A 7 hour flight with 2 stops is not a pleasant way to start my short trip:scared1: :sad2:
The candlelight processional I can miss or see..but the cast parties I want to avoid...will we just have to wait and wonder and hope:banana:
