December 25th, Part 2
When we went back to the room for lunch, we found these...
That means the cruise is almost over
Kira had left to find some lunch and do an Edge activity I think. Looking at the Nav, I saw they had a family Disney trivia at 4pm so I texted Kira to see if she would join us so we could do something fun together as a family.
I almost snorted when I read her reply...

Apparently, she had a spot open in her "schedule" and joined us for Disney Trivia.
Which we won
Actually, we tied with another group and we were going to just let them have the "medals" since we have some from last summer's cruise but Kira was adamant about having hers so she got one medal and the other group got the rest.
Kira went off somewhere as today was the day she finally decided to try some activities at Edge! She didn't do many but she did do them and ended up having a ton of fun! Who'd a thunk?
Rob and I headed outside to deck 4 to enjoy a sunset. Our verandah was now on the other side so no sunset verandah time for us. Thankfully, it was nice and peaceful out there and we found a seat.
There's only two spots on each side where they have chairs now
It wasn't spectacular like most are but it was beautiful and we enjoyed every second of it.
Kira had been texting us to say that she was going to the pool with her friend but her friend ended up backing out on her for something else so I suggested she go swimming anyway because this might be the only opportunity for her to have any kind of evening swim time since we were skipping the show that night. She was already in her swimsuit, ready to meet up with her friend so she decided to go for a quick swim. We met her up there...
She didn't stay long though and she ended up going to see a few characters. Rob met up with her to see Spiderman while I checked the stores one last time on my own.
We met back up in D Lounge for "So You Think You Know Your Family?" and Kira and Rob tried to get chosen but it was packed in there and we were sitting at the back and they chose people from the front.
Five minutes into it, a whole bunch of kids and babies right behind me started yelling/screaming and I had to leave.

Rob and Kira knew and understood why I had to leave and I am glad they decided to stay and watch, although we had terrible seats and couldn't see much of anything. But they enjoyed listening to it.
Then it was time for Christmas Dinner!
Oh look, our Christmas best attire
My corn chowder...
Kira's dinner...
Rob ordered weird stuff (for him, that is) because of his jaw issues, everything soft.
Rob's appy...
And his soup...
I ordered the beef dish but asked Wayan to bring me an extra side of potato because I LOVE scalloped potatoes and this cruise there was no regular menu at Triton's for us and I missed out on my favourite meal, the beef tenderloin and dauphinoise potatoes so I just had to have extra
Wayan brought me TWO of them

I also asked for just the ham from another entree and I am happy to see he only brought me the ham and not the rest of the entree as he said he would
Ham is my jam
Rob got the ravioli...not something I thought he would ever order
This was my favourite meal of the entire trip!

The potatoes were divine and I ate every single bite!

The beef was so delicious and the ham was even better!!!
Rob was laughing at the faces I was making during my meal
I was soooo stuffed, no room for dessert but Rob got this...
Wayan also did another crayon puzzle for us and I figured it out this time. He also did one the night before but I forgot to tell you all about it. I figured that one out too.

They weren't easy though, it took me quite awhile to get them!
We also gave Wayan and Chani each a Christmas gift. I had wrapped up a whole bunch of Canadian chocolate bars and candy in a Christmas bag and added some USD $ inside a little xmas card
Kira left dinner early that night to head to Edge where they were doing a Descendants DJ thing and she stayed until midnight I think, for Heroes and Villains.
We returned to the room to find this...
Changed into my swim suit and headed to the pool. Rob said he would join me in a bit.
When I got there, there was just me and one guy in one of the hot tubs and the other hot tub had an entire extended group/family in it.
After about 15 minutes, another huge group/family joined me and the other guy in the hot tub. They bothered the other guy enough that he left but I hung out for as long as I could handle it then went swimming.
Two people from that group were also swimming but they were really annoying. They had been doing canon-balls and jumping up and down all over the place. I figured they would stop doing that stuff when I joined them in the pool but they totally didn't.
I tried to swim some laps but they were oblivious to any kind of proper etiquette and it made for a terrible pool experience for me that night.
Both of them ended up bashing into me, literally, several times and I eventually gave up and just hung out at the side of the pool, where they unbelievably still ended up running into me!
Rob had joined me with his book about 10 minutes before I completely gave up and left!
Some people's kids, man
The moon was beautiful that night and we ended up spending time together on the verandah.
Remember how I told you how our neighbours kept leaving their verandah lights on? Well, they left them on again that night
And they weren't out there at all.
Normally, with all the lights off, you could barely see, which made it really nice to be able to look out onto the moonlit ocean but their light brightened up the whole place! At least our noisy neighbours had turned theirs off and weren't around.
So, other than my less than spectacular pool experience, this was an AMAZING Christmas! Definitely
the best Christmas I've had since my Mom passed away 21 years ago!
