Cass, Rob and Kira back in Disney! Toddlers' tempers and tantrums PTR NOW LIVE !!!

Brilliant idea for the autograph book! I may steal the idea for DS first trip. I can't wait to see the buttons and countdown calendar.

Steal away ;)

Yeah, I've been waiting for them to put them out at Target but nothing yet. I have a feeling this week they'll have it all out. Right now it's all back to school stuff.

We went to a different Walmart thinking they might have all their Halloweeny stuff but they didn't have a single thing! :scared1:

I am loving your pre-report. It has been awhile since I posted n your report but your daughter reminds me so much of mine at her age and she is now 13 :scared1:. I love the autograph book. It is awesome.:goodvibes

So what you're saying is that time flies even with tantrums and meltdowns? :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Stop singing mommy!!! That sounds like our house! :) I am glad there are no kids at Karaoke night on the cruise!! We can sing our hearts out in peace...
Great pre trippie! You have inspired me to start my own! Looking forward to more!

LOL! They have Karaoke??

Make sure to put a link in your siggie to your pre-trippie so we can find it :thumbsup2

We went to Heritage Park yesterday, which is a historical village here in Calgary. Now, I've lived here for 27 years now and I have never even been to HP before and Rob hasn't been to the park either except to DJ there as it's a popular wedding site so it was all new to us.

The park is nestled along the Glenmore Reservoir and you can see the large paddle boat that HP uses from all around the reservoir. Kira and I frequent a fantastic park/playground that is across from HP and we always watch and listen to the boat and the train when we are playing there. One day last week she asked me if she could go on that boat so I said sure!

So after Rob woke up we got all ready and left for the park. Tickets were rather steep, $20 entry fee per person and then $12 each for the ride bracelet, thankfully Kira is free until she's 3.

Walking down near the main part of town

We ran into Doctor Bear from the Children's Hospital and she had no problems hugging him and posing for a pic :thumbsup2:cool1::woohoo: Good news for Disney :goodvibes

Our main mission today was to ride the SS Moyie and the train.

Mission 1 accomplished

She really liked the boat but was a little scared at first when the horn went off. About half-way through the 20 minute cruise, she felt comfortable enough to get down and walk around a bit. :thumbsup2

After the boat we hopped on the train. She enjoyed that too. What she didn't enjoy was the very loud whistle that blew everytime it passed the station :rolleyes1

Clinging to her daddy

hp3.jpg

She really enjoyed her freedom here, we brought the stroller but never used it other than for storage. This place is so kid-friendly, it was awesome! Wide open spaces, tons of grassy areas, wasn't too busy.

We saw some miniature horses

Played in the trees and grassed areas

And of course she shared some ice cream with her daddy

hp4.jpg

She did great especially considering we only got there at around 11am and stayed for 4 hours and missed her nap. She obviously had lots of fun and I don't even think there was a single meltdown the whole time!

By the time we got back to the car though, you could tell she was really tired and spent so we will definitely be going back to the condo every day when we are at WDW. ::yes:: That should help her get through the evenings because I really love to spend time at the parks once the sun has gone down. :thumbsup2

We went straight to the mall because I really need a swimsuit so while I shopped for that, Rob and Kira went to the Disney store and came out with these. :rolleyes1

Apparently Rob doesn't think she has enough stuffies

All in all, it was a great day and great practice for Disney :goodvibes

Cass got a new swimsuit??:woohoo::3dglasses:cheer2:

It's more like a garbage bag with holes punched in there for my arms and head ;)

I wanted to get the white one with the red tie but the black one was much more slimming. :)

My buttons are in!!!

They turned out soooo good :cool1:

Got them done online at Walmart, three buttons for $5.91 including tax :woohoo:

Even Rob said they were awesome :thumbsup2

I originally tried to get them done at Zazzle.com but they said my design was not approved. I'm glad now because that would have cost me $19 with shipping!

HA! to zazzle :p

Hi Cass!:yay: Love those buttons! You find the coolest places to order stuff:thumbsup2. Your trip has to hurry up and get here!

I think this is a man thing.....But it's ok for a women to own 174 pairs of shoes right?.....:snooty:

Mr Dawg have you no shame, asking to see a lady in her swimming attire,pleaseeeeeee.....:sad2:

Micky if she does share any pics be sure to forward them on Sir.....:rolleyes1

I am enjoying your Pretrip Report! I am no stranger to maneuvering 2 year olds around the world. Seems like my little ones save up their good tantrums for mealtimes. I would recommend keeping the toys handy for that period!

And I am all for not potting training until after Disney. I am secretly hoping my 2 year old will hold on to his diaper until after Thanksgiving trip. Not going to happen I know, but I would rather control him on the changing table than try to herd him out of the bathroom without touching anything!

Plus, be warned --disney toilets flush REALLY loud. My oldest son who has no noise issues is freaked out! I flush for him after he goes out the door.

AWESOME buttons Cass!!! We're going to Disney in three years for a big family trip and I think I may follow your lead and make buttons for everyone. What fun!!! :thumbsup2

42 more days!!! :cool1:

Buttons look awesome! ...and that is quite the $$$ savings! Wow!

Yeah I was happy about it :woohoo: The only thing I liked better about the zazzle buttons was that they were available in smaller sizes which would have worked out better for Kira.

Hey, I only own about 10 pairs of shoes :snooty: In fact, I think Kira may have more shoes than me :rolleyes1

Yes, I am very familiar with the Disney Bathrooms

She doesn't like it when I flush toilets in a public bathroom with her. I have to let her leave and then flush :rotfl2: so I can only imagine how she will be in WDW! She's gonna freak about the ones on the ship too :scared:

I really hope the meltdowns are few and far between. I did schedule some distracting meals for this purpose (character meals, Sci-fi, etc.) :goodvibes

Well you are in luck then because apparently the Walmarts in the USA don't do them :scared1: It's not often that we Canadians have something that they don't ;)

I have been working on Kira's countdown calendar tonight. I'm just about done the first part (time consuming!) but I still have to wait on my order from Staples and then I can take pics and post them :cool1::woohoo:

They better hurry up, the calendar countdown starts in 7 days!:goodvibes

Cass, I love your buttons. I am not making shirts this time either.
