Cass, Rob and Kira back in Disney - Food Reviews!! Completed 03/13/2010!

Our bread selection for the evening...garlic and herb focaccia with roasted garlic dip

dcl2.jpg

This was delish Cass!!!:thumbsup2

Taleggio Cheese Tart

This was sooooo not what I was expecting...didn't care for it

dcl3.jpg

I thought the tart was awesome! :banana:I was wishing I had another one. :yay:

Fragrant Five Spiced Fish, must say...I laughed when I saw this plate...presentation is horrible! :lmao:

dcl11.jpg

This had to be mine Cass. You're right, the presentation was a little blah, but it really was pretty good. But this Foodie Novice really could've used some tartar sauce with it. :rotfl2:

Honestly, the food was good but what made our dinner really fabulous were the people at our table and our amazing servers, Orlan and Cindy. We laughed throughout the entire meal. I guess the food complemented everything else but it didn't stand out. It was better than our last cruise on DCL in 2007, so I was happy about that!

I'll toast to that!!! We had the best tablemates and our servers were awesome. This was our third cruise and I have to agree, the food was better (except those stupid hot dog buns) and our servers were the best ever!!

The Golden Mickeys Dinner

Once again, I am referring to a menu I found online because I didn't eat most of these dishes so I wouldn't know what they were. Hope I get everything right :goodvibes

Sorry, doesn't look like I took a photo of the bread but I am pretty sure it was the same as the night before. (if not, it was very similar!)

I'm so in. Starting to get thru all the goodness of your food porn posts. Thank you!

And I still have a way to go :cool1: Thanks for reading!

Once again, I am laughing so hard! My daughter would react in the exact same way, about the napkin-hats, and I think she would have the exact same expression on her face.

Really? :lmao: Well, at least you would expect it! We had no idea she would flip out like that! I don't know if she was just in a mood or what because we were shocked that she reacted that way! :scared1:

This was delish Cass!!!:thumbsup2

I remember you loving that bread!! :goodvibes

I thought the tart was awesome! :banana:I was wishing I had another one. :yay:

Really? I know how much you were looking forward to it, glad you enjoyed it. It was not my cup of tea

This had to be mine Cass. You're right, the presentation was a little blah, but it really was pretty good. But this Foodie Novice really could've used some tartar sauce with it. :rotfl2:

You should have asked for it, I'm sure they had some!

While the food was a little better than 2007, it really made a difference having great servers! The ones we had in 2007 were horrible! I'm so glad we got good ones :woohoo:

And the company was the best! :cool1::thumbsup2

great food reviews. I just finished reading and truelly enjoyed your reveiws. We did not like CM too (food was so bad) but we did have good character interaction and my son asked to go back to CM so we will give it another try for breakfast. How did your daughter like the cruise? She is soooo cute.

Oh my this is bringing back lovely memories of our enjoyable cruise meals, and your correct when you have all the components, great servers, good conversation and good food it is the perfect evening.:goodvibes

Wow - really enjoying your reviews and pictures.

On the ship - did the fragrant 5 spice fish not come with a sauce? Traditionally this dish is served with a brown spicy sauce which really makes the dish.

Your pics are gorgeous (and so is your family). Thanks for sharing. I ahve been thinking about Boma for breakfast! Thatnks for all the great details!!!!!:wizard:

I was devastated when they took this off the menu so on the first night I asked our head server Wira if there was any way that the pastry chef could make it for us.

I had read that as long as Disney had the ingredients for it, they could whip up almost anything. At first he told us that they couldn't do it (but I kinda knew he was fibbing) and then that night they brought out a whole pie for us to enjoy!!! :cool1: And then he brought out another whole pie for us to take with us!!! I asked if they could keep it for us but they said that once something comes out of the kitchen, it can't go back. We threw it in our room cooler and ate 2 pieces but ended up throwing the rest out :guilty:

It was SOOOO good and I was sooooo happy to get my pie!!!! :woohoo:

Well, what she saw of it, she loved! She was thrilled with Flounders and she loved going to the club when we took her. She also loved the Splash area near the Mickey Pool. Unfortunately she got sick half way through and we ended up spending a lot of time on our room but she was more than happy to just lay there and watch all the Disney movies on the TV :goodvibes

That's the one part of the cruise I would love to relive :thumbsup2

Sorry, it used to be in my signature but I deleted it. This B.O.B. cruise was a second cruise for a lot of us DISers that cruised together in 2007. The first one was Konked Kruisers, the second cruise was nicknamed Bash on the Boat, shortened to BOB. We cruised with a lot of old friends and made some great new ones too! :cool1:
