I am totally exhausted but I just wanted to let you all know that I am home safe and sound with my babes

The Dream was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I took 2284 photos and tons of video!!

It's gonna take me a bit to go through it all and start writing

I'm going to be doing the report in parts not chronologically. Something like General thoughts, Rooms, Pools, Food etc so I will try to get at least one part done per day depending on how busy my schedule will be.

Thanks for hanging in there for the Pre-trippie...the actual trippie should be awesome, the ship is gorgeous and I can't wait to tell you all about her!

my 3 day trip is soon!! I'm a newbie & I started the thread "3 generations Dream Feb 17-20" & i'll be reading everything you write

As you get back to your family and start your report I am looking for info such as -
your stateroom report, What was your stateroom #? we are on deck 8 middle of the boat, hopefully elevators don't take forever.

Did you wear lifejacket for the safety drill?
Any idea if there is a pirate night on the 3 day cruise?
How long were the shows? we have the 5pm show, 6somthing dinner - what format did you have? and it's open seating for the shows, so what time should we plan to get there?

And are the family pools fresh or salt water?

and how was getting off the ship/customs on your last day - we don't want to wait in a long line with kids yet we want to stay on teh ship as long as we can to look around and take pictures (is last day, disembarktion day)

Glad you made it home Cass! What time did your flight end up getting in at? I got home at about midnight, but the day went pretty painless and I always had a seat empty next to me so it was all for the best.
Can't wait to see your pictures!

I'm a little busy getting back into daily things and with Kira but I will try my best to start my trip report tonight after she goes to bed!

I will tell you that I LOVED the new ship!! Except for 3 things (that come to mind right now) that made me say "What the HE-- were they thinking????" I thought they took what was great about the classic ships and just improved on them

I think the bad reviews are coming from people that expected everything to be prefect and honestly, it wasn't but you know, it was only the 2nd official sailing! I personally would never have booked in the first few months because it takes time to get things running smoothly. Just like the Magic and Wonder, they are having some hiccups but Disney is so great about learning and improving and it WILL get better.

Let's just say that I can't wait to get my family on this baby!!! Well, we won't get to do the Dream but we will for sure do the Fantasy in 2012 and I am counting down the days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was supposed to be home at 5:41 but we left Denver late and got home just after 6pm and then customs...so Kira was in my arms by 6:30

So sorry you couldn't catch an earlier flight But if it makes you feel any better, I was in the middle seat for the flight to Denver But I almost kissed the agent for getting me on that earlier flight LOL!

Hi guys!

I had wanted to post about my Monday with Kira a few days ago, but unfortunately have come down with an awful cold and haven't really felt up to it. I am starting to feel a little better today so I thought that I better get on with it.

So I picked up the little princess from Rob at about 9am. She was still a little bit sleepy when I got there (me too - so not a morning person ), and I think still a little rundown from her cold. I had to run a quick errand, and she was happy to be riding a long with me. Kira is really digging my new Venza as she has her own moonroof over the backseat. On the way home from our errand, we drove through downtown and she was loving looking up through the moonroof at all the tall buildings, and she said to me, "Auntie, I hope you can find your way out of all these buildings!". I smiled at her in the rearview mirror and assured her I knew the way. She then asked for the hello hello song (telephone by lady Gaga & Beyonce) and proceeded to sing and do her little carseat dance. I love it! A few minutes later we were driving by the Elbow river and the trees, and Kira said "Auntie I hope you can find your way out of the trees." Again I said of course I can, next she said, "Auntie I hope you can find your way out of all these houses". It was really cute! Then about a block from my house, she looked at me and said, "Auntie, you rock! You found our way out of downtown, out of the trees, out of the houses, and all the way to your house and we didn't even get lost!" All I could do was laugh, she is so darn adorable! I forget that she is 4 now, and she puts together all these wonderful thoughts and observations. I love hanging out with her!

Once at my house, her energy perked up and she did one of her favourite things, threw all the cushions off the couch, and then ran the length of it, while sometimes jumping off to land in the softness below. She loves it!

Then we made some cookies, actually Kira did everything except the baking, and they turned out really well.

Then Kira asked for some ponys. She went and got the elastics and proceeded to tell me which colours and exactly where each pony should go. Doesn't she look adorable?

Then she played for a while in the box fort and then it was time to go home, so that she could go to school.

We had lots of fun, but I felt like she had just got here, when she had to leave. And then I was too sick on Wednesday to look after her again (sorry Cass and Rob! ) I think I was probably more bummed about that than anyone else. Luckily Kira's Grandma saved the day Phew!
