Caslte under wraps?

Hi all! I'm headed to DL for Oct. 5-9, and was wondering if anyone has heard when the castle will go under wraps to remove the 50th Anniversary crowns and dressings? They are still listing the 'Remember...Dreams Come True" show for the dates that I'll be there, but having seen the show before, it will certainly be a drag if the castle is covered for the performances. And, when they were adding the crowns to prepare for the 50th, it seemed like the castle was covered in tarps for an eternity! I sure hope they can get the job done faster in taking it all down!

I read on one of the disney sites that the castle will undergo a new paint job and have the decorations come down, as soon as the Halloween event is well under way. That wont happen until the trick or treat hits most likely around the middle of the month, cause thats when I expect would be in full swing.

I know how you feel, im going Oct 2-9th, so I was pretty scared about it being all tarped up.

The castle was only covered for painting, not when they added the crowns themselves. I've heard it's not going to be covered. They wouldn't be able to even show Remember with the castle covered. The crowns seemed to go up overnight (maybe not but I was there the Sunday before the 50th kick-off and they weren't there, then on the day of the kick-off they were). I imagine taking them down will be just as easy.

Boy, that's great news! I couldn't imagine Remeber without the castle. I didn't realize that the tarps were for the repainting before and not the crown installation. Thanks!

I called a few weeks ago to confirm this. The woman told me there was no plans to repaint the castle and if the castle is going to be tarped it will be listed under Refurbished items.

you know I think they should leave the crowns up anyways...it dresses the castle up so nicely...they can take away the 50th stuff but leave everything else the way it is

I agree, the castle would look nice with the crowns. I think the bright colord flags make it look a bit too much, but the crowns would be a nice added touch. Lets all petition

I actually have doubts it's going to end up under tarps at all. The whole thing originated with an Al Lutz articale on Miceage.com and has been refuted by several other sources. The fact it isn't showing up on the refurb schedule makes it seem like it's just plain wrong info.
