Cash stay ( not through DVC point conversion)

Booked a cash BC stay with AP rates for Labor Day week.

What discounts / restrictions do you lose when staying on the hotel side?

I know villains lair , and the DVC lounges are not available. Neither is free laundry.

Is there any other gotchas that I missed?

I have an AP so the discounts on dining should not matter as they are about the same.

Most of the things you listed aren't dependent upon where you're staying. You can use the lounges in the parks and Springs. Those aren't dependent upon staying on points. Neither are the DVC discounts.

I have never had them ask me where I'm staying at the villains lair and on several occasions we visited staying offsite. But I know that it is supposed to only be open to DVC-Y members who are staying on property using their membership, so I was prepared to be turned away.
