Cash/Points reservation

We originally booked a six night reservation using points for a 2BR villa at BWV. We have since added a cash reservation to the beginning in a 1BR villa at BWV. Any idea of the chance of staying in the same room with them just opening up the second bedroom? They said I could request it but it wasn't guaranteed.

Did you book the cash reservation though MS or CRO? If MS, ask to have your reservations linked (and it will mean getting a lockoff two bedroom instead of a dedicated). Then when you check in, see if you are blocked into the same room for both of your stays.

If you have booked through CRO, you'll need the number for your points reservation added to the info on your cash stay and vice versa. The biggest thing is to ask the CM at check-in if you are blocked into the same room. Sometimes they can do that, sometime not.

I did book everything through MS. I asked them if we could stay in the same room and they said they could put a request on the reservation but it wasn't a request that is normally fulfilled. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this.

If you already have this as a request thru MS, I'd repeat the request at check-in and again early on the switch-over day (I'd go to the desk around 7:30am - with your best smile - and ask again that you be allowed to stay in the same 1BR and just add the studio.

Since there are no dedicated 2BRs at BWV all you'll need to make sure is that you have a lockoff 1BR and not a dedicated. That can be requested thru MS in advance.

We've been able to do this several times at various resorts, including BWV, without a problem.

We did this a few years ago at OKW. We were there for a few days before our friends arrived and were in a one bedroom. We requested a lock off two bedroom for the rest of our stay when our friends arrived. We checked when we checked in and we were blocked into the room. However, we still had to check in and out for both stays and confirmed it on that day, too.
