Cash or Credit

Does every food location at DL accept credit/debit cards (Visa, MC, Amex) or are there some that are cash only?

I usually take a bunch of cash to cover all of our food during our trips but would rather not carry around that much cash if I can just use my cards.

This just came up a few days ago. There are a couple snack carts and people selling ballons that do not take cards. Just a couple.

Cool, I don't mind carrying a few hundred dollars for stuff like that and tips.

I normally take a couple thousand in cash and store it in the room safes but this trip, we will be dropping our luggage off early at a couple hotels (before we get to DL), and spending the day doing other things. I really don't want to worry about carrying that much cash on me and don't want to worry about it being hidden in my luggage while (and possibly "disappearing") while we are out doing other things during the day.

2 more days of work and then it's all play!!!

I use a $20 dollar bill to rent a locker (need the gold coins), a quarter for the fortune teller, and the rest is all on an atm card.

I would get a Disney Gift card or two, plus gift cards to the restaurants I would eat at in Downtown Disney, or on Harbor Blvd. I would also grab a gift card for the Lego Store. This way, if you do not spend them all, you can set them aside for your next trip, or order online with them!:cool1:

A place that can't take a credit/debit card will also be unable to process a gift card.

One tip we have found useful is to go into a store like the Emporium, Star Traders, World of Disney, or one of the Disney hotel gift shops and use our credit card to buy some Disney dollars. Disney dollars work same as cash in Disneyland, so we can use them at those few rare places, balloon/glow thing vendors, snack carts, etc., that don't accept credit or gift cards.
