Cash or CC for tips?

I always go to the bank and stock up on smaller bills before a trip if I need to. Honestly, since I keep cash for tipping everyone I need to I stop at the bank an average of 2x a month so sometimes it just falls on one of those trips. I know everyone who gets tips prefers cash so they can avoid paying taxes on it if able. I've been a server, I know all about shady restaurants that skim your tips when they are on the card. So I would say cash if able, they will be grateful.

We always tip in cash. It works out much better for the servers.

I always tip with a cc. That way I get a 3% rebate on my bill as well as my tip from my cc.

We are usually onsite so everything is charged to the room.

We usually tip in cash at home and always when on vacation. I hate waiting for the tip to clear on my debit card when I add it to the check. Some places around here it can take up to 5 days. I don’t use my debit card on vacation so I just carry enough cash for tips.
