opinions wanted please!
We are goinbg on the 4 day cruise...I want to carry enough cash for some drinks at the Islands ect. but not too much.
There will be 5 of us. How much cash do you think I should carry?
(5 adults).

We went on the 7 day cruise and then did 4 days at WDW. For three of us we took $300 cash and $200 traveler's checks. We ended up bringing back at least $150 cash and all the traveler's checks.

We didn't buy any drinks on the island but did some shopping. FYI, be sure to bring cash in 10s, 5s, and 1s for the shopping. The vendors in the market stalls "never" have change so you can get better deals if you have small bills.

Depending on the shopping and how much drinking you plan to do, I think $100 per person should be plenty since the larger stores will take charge cards.

Drinks at Castaway Cay go on your KTTW card.

you don't need money on the cruise you pay with your (key to the world card).but you need money to tip your weighters:earsboy: ::MickeyMo

You can also charge your tips to a credit card. Guest Services will print a form to stick in the envelopes saying how much you gave for each person.

Oh no!

Tell me they don't have people on board to weigh you now!

OK -- haha -- as I was getting all these replies back I yanked my 13 yo DS and asked if he'd been posting under my name -- oh yes, that's a 13 yo's spelling!!! So, we had a "little chat" about posting on this site and he now understands that this isn't for him. Sorry about that though you guys have a great sense of humor :)

We've been on 5 cruises so far, and once we were on the boat, the only thing we've ever needed cash for was to a make a purchase in the straw market. Otherwise, anything on the ship or Disney's Island is via your KTTW card, and any other shopping we've done in ports, we've used the Credit Card.
