We haven't eaten at Sci-Fi Drive In since our honeymoon in 1992!! We plan our lunch during our trip Thanksgiving week. My question is : are all the seats in "cars" ? If not do you request a car when making ADR or at check-in. Our boys ages 5 & 10 for sure want to eat in a car!! THANKS!!

There are some "regular" seats (aka not cars), but I believe most of the seating is in the cars. I read somewhere that if you have an ADR you will get a car.

Does anybody know how many each car can seat? We have 3 small children, would all five of us fit into one car? Thanks!!

We're five and fit in one card with the three seating sections. I sit with ds, 2 dds sit together and dh sits alone.

They do also have picnic table seating. Acouple of years ago we were given this inspite of our ps. When I asked for a car, I was told it would be another 30min wait (we had already been waiting quite a while). Not sure if this is unusual, also not sure if you can request a car when you call, but I would try.

In the whole restaurant there are only maybe 4 or 5 picnic tables- all the other seating is in the cars- so statistically, you're practically guaranteed a car. We got the picnic table once and it kind of sucked, so hopefully (i'm sure) you will get the car you want!

The seating in the cars are just like older cars...bench seats! 2 fit in the front & 2 in the back. The tables are usually for larger groups. The odds are you will get a car...we always have!! Enjoy!

Sorry to get off topic a bit, but are you going to be there {WDW} ON Thanksgiving day, and have you ever done that before? You are a brave soul, as that is one of the busiest times of year!
