Does anyone know what the wait times have been for the 3 cars land rides close to closing?

I'm hearing of 3-5 hr waits in the standby line all day. I understand that usually things slow down at DL at the end of the night--has this been at all true at CARS land?

Also, at DL if you jump in a line just before closing they let you ride the ride even if it's after closing time. Has this been true at DCA? If so does that mean the last people riding some of those rides might potentially be riding as late as 4am?? That would be if the line was 5 hrs long at 11pm--which i very much hope is not the case.

My family will be going from July 8-13:yay: I expect it will still be a madhouse at that time, but I am holding some slim hope that it won't still be a 5 hr line!

I am hoping that it won't be too bad, because I am thinking that this may be the only way we get to ride it at night.

We have APEE for the day time ride but planning the evening/after dark ride is more tricky.

I heard they closed the line about 4-5 hours before closing the first night. Last night I think the stand by was about 3 hours and they closed it early then too.

ETA: This was for RSR. Mater and Luigi had much shorter lines last night according to my friends. Mater was about 30 min, not sure about Luigis.

To the poster that said they closed racers hours early before closing, where did you see that? Obviously not in person as I got in line at 10:55 pm that night..... To the op, if you get in line before closing you will be allowed in line. And once all the fastpass people go through the line speeds up greatly as no new people are allowed in the fp line after closing.

Sorry cant tell you as we bailed out about five minutes after getting in line due to not wanting to wait for two hours and staying up so late, but cast members thought everyone would be through before 2 am.

thanks for the replies....i'll have to watch the boards for reports over the next few weeks. I am hoping things calm down a little though!

From what I heard, it was 2:30 Aam before the last guest boarded on opening day, which cause logistical nightmares for maintenance and janitorial crews, the spill over effect was the RSR didn't open until about 8:40 the next day.

Things will definitely calm down over the next couple of weeks, they actually calmed down a lot for the second day. The difference was almost night and day, by utilizing FPs and Single Rider lines, many were able to ride RSR at least three times on Saturday. Also, just a noe that on Saturday they were accepting FPs from Friday due to all of the breakdowns.
