Cars Land Merchandise Sold Out

Trust me no conspiracies here! They simply didnt expect the huge excitement over this stuff and low balled their figures. On top of that they didnt expect to have the huge sell out crowds daily either which also factors in the stuff going faster. Who says we are in a bad economy!

That said, I was there just yesterday and like others also saw the Luigis tire hats stocked full on BVS, so its not ALL gone although I suspect it will be within the week. I really dont get the thing with the Luigis hats. Ok, kids in elementary school ok, but grown adults just looks odd and I cant see them wearing those things anywhere BUT the parks. But I guess you can say the exact same thing about Mickey ears so what do I know lol.

If the stores looked like they did in the pics from the previews they vastly underestimated the demand. They should have been going into the opening with full stock levels. The shelf placement and stock arrangement is similar to what I used to do at work when we were almost empty & trying to make it look full.

FWIW, no Cone Cups spotted today but tire hats were available in Carsland and on BVS and lightening mcqueen popcorn buckets were available too.

Not suprising with knowlege of what happend a couple weeks ago.

During the previews some merchandise was pulled from shelfs because it sold at a high rate and there was concern it wouldn't be available for the opening on the 15th.

Disney knew about this over two weeks ago. I would bet it's all back on the shelves for the week of the 4th.

I hope we can find some cone cups!

Disney announced the cups were back yesterday. How did I know this could happen and Al Lutz was saying otherwise. I studied manufacturing and marketing and AL doesn't seem to know much about anything except making little things sound like disasters with a sky is falling attitude.

I was there today. The tire hats are back but the fine cups are still gone.

I knew I should have gone to get a cone cup on media release day. Eff. I guess if they're restocking in July or August I should be able to get one in September Maybe...
