Cars Land impact on TSMM?

Has anyone noticed what impact Cars Land is having on TSMM? I'm used to showing up early for the "unofficial" opening, grabbing a FP for WOC and Soarin' and lining up for rope drop to cross the bridge to Paradise Pier. But now with Cars Land, I'm assuming I will be lined up to run there instead. Does anyone have tips on how to work Cars Land and a few rides on TSMM in without waiting for hours? FWIW, we aren't going until Oct., but even though it's the off season, I imagine the lines for these rides will still be long!

I went to CL first, but did look at the wait times online other days. TSMM is no longer where everyone is rushing to in the morning, RSR is. So instead of building a 45 minute wait in the first 10 minutes of opening time it slowly goes up and hits 45 mid morning and for the rest of the day.

I got a fastpass for RSR, while the family rode Mater. We did not ride Luigi. We then went to TSMM after I got the fast pass about 8:15 and walked onto TSMM twice in a row. When we got off the 2nd ride, the line had gotten a LOT longer, and grew fairly quickly to about 40 minutes. But both days there, we rode it be 8:20 and there was almost no line. But it doesn't last long.
