-cover graham crackers in icing and place red, yellow and green M&Ms on top to make street lights
-make red, green and yellow
"stoplight" Jello jigglers
-serve wheel-shaped pasta
-serve racetrack concession stand food - soft pretzels with cheese,
nachos, hotdogs, popcorn
-use a car-shaped cookie cutter to cut sandwiches
-make cookies in the shapes of road signs and use icing to decorate
Decorations
-make road signs from poster board to display
-decorate with lots of black and white checkered flags and black and white streamers and balloons
-use plenty of toy cars to decorate
-use several helmets as balloon weights
-serve your food in clean, upside-down helmets
Games/Activities
-print "Cars" colouring sheets from the Internet for guests to colour
- watch the "Cars" DVD
-paint guest's faces with flames, cars,
racing stripes or numbers
-play "Red Light, Green Light"
-help guests make a driver's license - take a picture of each guest with a digital
camera - glue onto a precut piece of
construction paper - add a license number along with the guest's name, hair and eye colour, thumbprint and signature - use yarn to hang around the child's neck
-"Design a Car" - put guests into groups of 2 - provide them with graham crackers, frosting, a plastic knife, toothpicks,
gumdrops, Oreo's, candies, pretzel sticks, gummy candy, etc. - each crew needs to design their own racecar in a designated amount of time
-play "Pin the Tire on the Car"
-have a "Driver's Relay" - divide guests into 2 teams -provide each team with a t-shirt or jumpsuit, a pair of sunglasses and a
helmet - in turn, each guest must put on all of the items, run to the end of the
designated area and run back, undress and hand off the items to the next player - first team done, wins
