Cars and Stars Parade Question

Hi!
Does the Cars and Stars parade at DS/MGM begin at the front of the park and travel back? And, how long does the parade usually last?

We arrived about 30 minutes before the parade and found an empty spot on the curb in front of the 5 and 10 store. There where lots of street characters to keep our attention during the wait. After the parade passed we left the park and headed over to AK. We got to AK just in time to see the parade there at the intersection of Asia and Africa. This was our 3rd parade for the day since we arrived at MGM early enought to catch the Star Wars parade as well. I tried to get my DS12 to go on over to MK and catch the parade there as well but he was too tired.
