I read reviews about it - good and bad. The Hawaiian Toy Story short before the movie sounds really cute.

The Hawaii clip is very cute, it's a spoof with the Toy Story characters.
Cars 2 is quite different from the original. Mater is much more involved in the story, and there was much more shooting than I usually let the boys watch :confused3 However, they both sat on the edge of their seats and were totally enthralled!

We saw it on Sat as well!

We all LOVED it! DH and I think it was better than the first! The Hawaiian short before the movie was super cute! :goodvibes

We loved the first Cars, and have watched it several times.

Saw Cars 2 a couple of nights ago. As DH will tell you, its never a good sign when I start looking at my watch 1/2 hr into a movie.:sad2:

A close friend of mine had the chance to go before it came out, he somehow won tickets for a pre-release. I've talked to a few people who've seen it, and they all say it's absolutely hilarious.

I liked #1 better. A better storyline in #1. But #2 has lots of action and is bound to keep the kids entertained. So I guess that is all that really matters.

It was ok. My DH thought they really catered to the potty humour and it was beneath Pixar's standards. Also the story is really convoluted. My DS loves the first one and almost fell asleep. I also was looking at my watch about half way through it was easily 20-30min too long.

We took DS10 to see it this weekend with Grandpa and Grandma and we all loved it. I think it is probably better suited to slightly older kids because it is like a James Bond movie. DS was sad when they made reference to Doc Hudson having passed away but I thought it was a nice tribute to Paul Newman. The adults (especially Grandpa and I) thought it was very funny.

Loved the Toy Story short too, hilarious!

Saw it with the whole family, DD17 and DS15.

I was a big fan of #1....BUT this one doesn't even come close.

I'd rate it a 6.5.....7 tops.

My wife loved it - but me and the kids thought it fell short of expectations

We took the kids to see it in 3D lastnight. While the three kids thought it was good. My wife and I were quite disapointed. To me this is the worst Pixar movie to date....

I thought it was great - more geared towards adults then kids though. It has a lot deeper plot line that just a buddy movie. About big business, and the lengths they go to, to get ahead.

:thumbsup2 < Thumbs Up!

Plan on bringing DS4 to it soon. Hope he doesn't get bored! It will be only his 2nd trip to the movie theatre and hope he doesn't want to wander away because it doesn't catch his interest.

we saw it on canada day it was a great movie love watching disney movies

I thought it was pretty terrible. I agree with the poster who said that the plot was convoluted. I thought it was just plan boring. I was more than disappointed.

However, the Toy Story short at the beginning was absolutely fanastic. I almost peed my pants!

Yup this. Way too long and the plot was too convoluted for young kids. My 4 year old kept asking if it was over yet starting about half way in.

I took the boys on Saturday as a surprise. They loved it- actually all 3 of us loved it! I liked it much better than the first.

My two girls (5 and 11) both loved it. My 5 year old has the attention span of a flea and was actually captivated by it. I liked it too.
