Carrying Camera bag aound Disney

Going to Florida in July On my honeymoon and need a bit of advice.

I am going to be taking around with me a bag with a camcorder and camera and wondered seeing as there are only going to be two of us is there anywhere to leave this when going on to the more wild rides.

In WDW there are lockers in the parks where you can dump your stuff. Last time I was there they cost around $5 - some of which you got back as a deposit.

The lockers are close to the entry at the parks (MK, under the railway station, Epcot on the right of Spaceship Earth as you enter the park, not sure about the other parks).

Not sure about IOA/US, but I did see free lockers outside Journey to Atlantis as Seaworld.

The lockers at WDW are useless unless you plan go walk back to town hall each time you want to collect an item.

Islands of adventure is a diffrent matter. They have lockers outside all the rollercoasters - they are free.

Sea world is the same. Lockers outside the central are at Kraken and Atlantis

IOA has a brilliant arrangement for the wild rides - free lockers for 2 hours near DD and Hulk. In WDW, there aren't many rides you can't take small bags on. Off the top of my head

- Epcot: nothing. There are storage areas by your knees on TT and MS

- MGM: TOT I think you'll be OK. RnR you don't want to take a bag on unless it's securely attached to you and won't interfere with the shoulder straps. It's only a short walk to the lockers from there, though so that's not too inconvenient.

- AK - not been since coaster installed - this could be a problem. Also Kali River rapids you could take it on, but it will get very wet! All the other rides you can take your bag on. Lockers hopelessly inaccessible in this park. Miles from anywhere

- MK - BTMRR you need to be attached to your bag, I think. Splash Mountain you will get very wet. Space Mountain I've ridden with a bum bag with no problem. Lockers inaccessible.

The more we go, the less we cart around with us!

You might decide to have days with the camcorder when you do shows and tame rides, and days without when you do the wilder rides.

We have a 3CCD model with optical zoom, which as a result is quite large for a dv model. It still fits in my camcorder bum bag though (just!) and has been on every single ride in Orlando. Saves trying to find lockers.

On rides like R'n'R DH and I each take a strap from the rucksack and put our feet through it so as to hold it close to the floor. Has worked a treat everytime.

I too was wondering about this. The lockers at the gates of the park are a no go for a camera bag (not very handy). We will have a small rucksack so am thinking we can take it on the rides with us or if they have lockers next to the ride put it in there. What about the wet rides Ripsaw, bilge rat, Splash M, Kali R R etc, is there somewhere to keep your bag dry?
