We'll be staying onsite for the very first time in June! We'll be at Pop Century.

If we get a Rapid Fill mug and use it for breakfast at the food court, and don't want to take it back to our room before heading to the parks, what are our options to carry it around? I'm just thinking that it's likely our room will be a hike from the food court, and the bus stop is near the food court, it doesn't make sense to bring the mug back to the room. But that also means, we'll be stuck carrying it all day. Our daughter is staying with her godparents, so no stroller, and we try to travel light in the parks.

Well, you could send the fittest and fastest among you to run the mug back to the room for you. Otherwise, you could probably leave it in a locker at the park(s) you visit, but you'll have to pay to use the locker.

I rinse mine out at a water fountain or bathroom sink and then toss it in my backpack. Then I use it to get another drink on my way back into the resort at the end of the day.

One of those small drawstring backpacks would fit a couple of them without being heavy, and it could stay folded in a pocket until after the bag check area, if avoiding that is your traveling-light goal.

There are carabiner clips with a short strap attached, you could use one of those to hang it from a belt loop if you really don't want any kind of bag?

We usually fill ours with a drink for the bus and the beginning of our day at the park and then throw it in our small, crossbody backpack. Empty cups are pretty light. Then we refill the cups when we arrive back at the resort.

Oh and we throw our extra drink from breakfast (if we eat at our resort) in the bag too. We usually pick a bottled powerade.

If someone wears a belt you could loop the belt through the hand and wear at your waist.

you can also use it s a water bottle in parks all the counter service will give you a glass of ice water just ask!

I get my extra cup of coffee for the bus, after it's gone, I rinse it out well and get ice water from a CS and add my own individual crystal light etc . Or just put the ice in it and sip on it..it will stay cold for a while:)

I like to fill mine before we leave for a drink on the bus, then I put it in a ziplock bag and throw it in my backpack. Ziplock and plastic grocery bags are another good thing for your list if they're not on there already!

I just tried looking for a pic of the current mug but the hundreds of threads i opened were lacking that pic. can anyone share a link?

I've always thought that food/drink was not allowed on the bus. Am I wrong?

Getting our drinks on the way back to room sounds perfect. Anyone know how much the lockers are at the parks? Or better yet, a locker at the resort, I'm considering Pop Century?

There is a whole big stickied thread in the Resort section:

According to allears.net, lockers at MK (I'm assuming the price is the same at the other parks) are $7 for small ones and $9 for large ones, plus a $5 deposit that is refunded when you return the key. As far as I know, the only place you'll find lockers at any of the resorts is at the pools, and that probably isn't always going to be a convenient place to get to when you're on your way to and from the parks.

I always bring my mug with me to the park.
I don't like to carry anything with me though.
I have a fanny pack with the essentials in it.
I generally get a locker. I usually bring a change of clothes with me
to the parks in case I spill something on myself.. LOL

I drink my morning coffee, rinse it out when I get to the park and store it in the locker.

In the past I have carried it around with me.
I LIKE having it with me when I get back to the resort so I don't have to walk all the way back to my room to get it.
