Carrie's First Steps to a Happier Me! (~~~Please feel free to comment!~~~)

Everything is going fine today except I have a super busy day! My kids had dental appts. this am so we had to be ready early, but I woke up early and excercised at 7am so I wouldn't miss it today! My hubby was very impressed. =)

Yes, I do mainly eat whole grain breads. I hate white bread actually other than maybe a sub roll or something, but even then I would choose wheat if they have it. we don't eat meat, so it is harder because of that I think.

Now, I have to head out to my daughter's troop meeting (I am her troop leader) and then a meeting about the school budget. I had my snack though, so I won't starve to death! hehe!

Good morning! I just did my 30 minutes this morning even though I don't feel so hot (monthly visitors and all - blech!). Here comes the weekend again, so I want to feel good. I feel like I have been keeping this up pretty well even though I have had a busy week. In fact, I might even feel kind of PROUD of myself! :teeth: Hope everyone has a great weekend! We are supposed to have super weather here in my neck of the woods and I am taking DD7 out for a girl day tomorrow. Looking forward to that!
 
Well, after a very busy weekend and lots of stuff to do today I was feeling a little out of the loop. However, I made myself excercise anyway at 5:15pm and even though I had to take another shower and had all kinds of cleaning to do, etc. (company tomorrow night) I just knew I couldn't miss today after a weekend had just gone by. Anyway - I am exhausted now, but still feeling pretty good! Went to the grocery today and resisted all the temptations that I should have. If it isn't in the house then I can't eat it, right? What is it Dr. Phil says - make a fail safe environment, right?! :) Hope everyone is off to a good start to the week!

Hi Carrie! Glad to hear everything is going well for you! Wasn't this weekend GORGEOUS?

I am definitely proud of you, and you SHOULD be proud of yourself. To continue to exercise when you just don't feel good....that is HUGE to me.

Yuck! I have been sick all week now and have been on my couch for 3 days! My entire family is sick too. My DD7 was out of school yesterday, although she did go back today and hubby had to take a day off. I have not gotten to exercise since Monday. I keep telling myself that I surely will feel like it later, but I surely haven't!! I am dizzy, etc. So, when I finally feel better I will get back in the swing of things. I am not giving up - but why does this always happen once I get some momentum going?! :rotfl2:

Carrie - you are sick, it's out of your hands. Please try not to stress about it.

When you feel better, you'll get back into it. We all know you will!

Well the guilt got to me! I did it anyway and I just figured if it was really awful then I would stop, but I managed through it! Now I will go rest. :thumbsup2
 
Carrie - don't overdo it...it will take longer to get healthy...rest up!
You are doing great and you won't let yourself quit or get off track!

Well, I am feeling better, though I am not 100% for sure! I just did 30 mins though and it is SUNDAY! Woo Hoo!! The last 5 minutes nearly killed me though. Everything else is going pretty well too, although I do feel like I snacked a lot yesterday once my appetite was back. I didn't exactly eat anything bad, just more than usual. I am doing fine today so far though! I wish I knew if I were really getting anywhere yet!

Hi there! everything is going along just fine here! I am just really busy this week after having been sick the week before. I can meet my exercise goal still though if I do my 30 minutes each day until next Friday, so I am hoping I can actually still accomplish my goal! Eating is going fine too - seem to be leveling out actually. I still haven't kicked caffeine, am planning my attack for next week! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Oh and also - I did my measurements (since I am not weighing) and I lost an inch on my waist and chest and 3/4 of an inch on my belly!

I took my measurements when I started - :rolleyes1 - and I will again at the end of the month....maybe! Keep up the good work! :cheer2:

hi guys! Well, I just did my 30 mins a little while ago and I am still 30 mins away from my goal. I don't think I will make it because I have to be out all day tomorrow for various reasons. If I can fit it in there I will, but I will still be happy getting close I guess. Then we start a new month! For some reason that is even more exciting to me becuase that means I am sticking to it and starting a second month! That just feels kind of neat. I tried on all of my summer shorts and thankfully they fit me! I was SO scared when I tried putting on the skinniest ones that they would not fit at all, but they did. I am still not comfortable because I am FLABBY, but at least I am on track! I am thinking of getting some weights and starting to incorporate my crunches back into my excercise too. Hmmm - if I did THAT I would meet my goal today! Maybe this evening! My daughter has a science and academic fair tonight and then I have to make decorations for tomorrow night's Father Daughter dance so if I get home at a reasonable time ... !! :goodvibes

Anyway, just checking in. The weather where I am is beautiful today! That does a lot for the soul, doesn't it? :flower3:

Sorry so long since posting! Things have been a little crazy and I haven't been around as much. My uncle passed away last weekend, so all of last week was kind of a mess.

Anyway, not much going on. The exercising is going okay, although I had a few bad days last week where I just didn't because I wasn't feeling well. I made up for it with lots of yard work though! :teeth: The weather in my neck of the woods has gotten so nice that we have been outside so much! It is just wonderful! I think I may have been really kind of depressed about winter before and now I am feeling like myself again.

Our trip is only 17 days away and we have a little mini-trip to see my sister this weekend too, so lots of things to do! I am anxious about the packing.

Anyway - just wanted to post a little update since I have been MIA lately. Thanks for the support!
