Anyone ever use them for a reservation? I clicked on the ad from Yahoo and found an Economy Car through Thrifty at $94 (all inclusive) for our trip Aug 25-30.

Currently, I have a reservation with National, Emerald Isle for $124...since its just me and DS(8), an Economy might not be so bad for $30 cheaper....

I used Carrentals.com for an economy from Thrifty in May and had no problems. It was the cheapest rate I could find and the car was a new, clean Dodge Neon which I found to be plenty big enough for two people and luggage.

Thrifty is offsite. IMHO, you are much better off paying the 30.00 more.

Gail-When you say to pay $30 more for an onsite rental car is that for all airports or just or Orlando. I'm planning on picking up in San Fran and L.A. would you advise the same thing...looking for an onsite rental. If yes, can I ask why.

I say that for Orlando.

I don't think there is a car rental agency in LA that does not require a shuttle ride, so, that would not matter. I know nothing about SanFran, however, the rental car's web site will let you know what their location at or near the airport is.

I have rented in San Fran and I am 99.9% sure you are taking a shuttle there also.

Has anyone used them and what was your experience?
kayak.com is showing them as being the lowest for an Alamo rental car which is onsite at MCO but I have never used them before. Booking directly with Alamo is a lot more even with using the Entertainment book code.
Does anyone have any opinions on CarRentals.com? Its $158.02 for a compact for our week in December.
TIA.
