Hello, I need to make a choice between two reservations I've made. They are both the same price and I have never stayed at either of these two. Can you help me make the choice? Thanks!

We are staying at the Desert Palms dec 10- 13. We have a kids suite. I think the rooms might be bigger at the Desert Palms. And it is not a bad walk back to your hotel from the Parks. Enjoy your trip!

Not sure how far away Desert Palms is but Carousel is almost straight across the road, about a 5 minute walk. We enjoyed our stay at the Carousel and do recommend it. Only negative we had for Carousel was the pool size which is small.

I'd vote for the Carousel. The location is great, rooms are big and nicely decorated and there's a McDonald's right next door on one side and a convenience store on the other. Plus there's now a Quizno's in the hotel.

The only downside is there's no hot tub.

The Desert Palms is a bit of a hike (if you mean Desert Palms, and not Desert INN, which is near the Carousel) and has gotten pretty mixed reviews.

Desert Palms was alright. We had a perfect theme park view from our room and could see all of DCA and the fireworks. There's a 7-11 right next door which was very convenient for breakfast and water bottles. The walk is a little less than 10 minutes from the hotel lobby to the front gates. The rooms are average hotel rooms (not motel). They have breakfast, but it doesn't start until 7:30 I believe which doesn't work for peak season travel.

Thanks very much. I have a baby with us, so the walk might be important. We won't be using the pool, so that's not important. I really appreciate the input!

Desert Palms (which is the one next door to Candy Cane Inn & 7-11) is the one with the Quiznos in the lobby. We've enjoyed 3 stays there over the past 2 years and the rooms are quite spacious and clean. The fridge in the rooms is large enough to stock up on 7-11 items for snacks as well.

Carousel Inn has a Quizno's too, so maybe they both do. I've heard the beds are really comfy!!! Plus it's closer than the Desert Palm. I'd vote Carousel.

Hmmm stayed at the Desert Palms once and can't say I'd choose it again. Rooms were okay size wise, clean but very basic, pool is very small and enclosed. Breakfast however, was zoo-like. Very basic buffet, massses of people trying to fit extraordinarily large amounts of food on small and flimsy paper plates -Still, I suppose you can't blame pople for trying to get value for money, but the food really was beyond average. You could pay extra for hot pockets? and for a push button style coffee if you wanted to extend the cereal, pastry, oranges and apples routine.

Walk is no too bad, but it is a little further away than some others, far enough that we wouldn;t walk back in the middle of the day with our kids (6 and 8)
