So, now that Carolyn Allen's affiliation has changed, I have found tuxes for my groom and his guys. I called last weekend to get pricing and infomation and ask a couple of questions. The girl I spoke to on the phone seemed very uninformed.

She recommended that I fill out the order forms for the tuxes that are available online. I explained to her that I'm not ready to order that I wanted pricing and had some questions. She agreed to take all the information to get me prices and listened to my questions.

I was expecting to hear back from someone, anyone, but I haven't. So, I'm going to call again this weekend.

What I was wondering from any of you who used Carolyn Allen's how the process worked for you? And did you find pricing to be reasonable? Does anyone have any ballpark figures (although I know that it could vastly different depending on the tux.)

TIA!

We used CA back in April, before the affiliation change. Our Tommy Hilfiger tuxes were each $150+tax. I called and talked to Kathleen a few times about mixing/matching shirts and ties. I then ordered online. She called back to confirm everything.

The service we got from them was great. They brought all the right sizes to the hotel. My shirt and coat were a bit off (due to bad measuring locally in PA). I had the new ones later that day at the front desk.

what affiliation changed? i'm confused-and panicking...i'm planning on shipping them my dress and having them steam it...is this not possible anymore?

They used to be affiliated with After Hours, but now they are with some other company. They still provide the same services and everything else, they just get their tuxes/merchandise from another vendor.

They were still with After Hours in April/May, so between then and now. I remember reading about it somewhere.

Yeah, the only thing that changed is they now get their tuxes through Jim's Formalwear, which has tons of locations all around the country. No need to panic! :thumbsup2
