I just wanted to thank Carol again.....A couple of months back I asked on here if anyone was going to Florida. You may all remember as I mentioned my son has bad scarring on his hand that gets infected often and when we were over in the summer found a great talc that soothes and clears it up so quickly!..........Carol offered very kindly to buy some on her recent trip and today I have recieved a parcel with 2 tubs and she refuses to let me reimburse her for her time and money.

THANK YOU CAROL YOU ARE A VERY KIND AND SPECIAL LADY xxxxxxxx (and Sam thanks you very much too xx)

:flower3:   :worship: :cloud9: :grouphug:  :love1:

AAAW! Jane, you shouldn't have (hides head in embarrassment) for goodness sake what difference does a small gift like that make? I'm sure many parents understand that small things make a difference, anyway I'm off to sprinkle a little more pixie dust.

p.s, just wanted to add 'lady' is a bit strong!!!

Sounds like the Carol I knew at school :sunny:

A small gift like that....means alot to my 6 year old son when he does not cry in pain when you are rubbing normal cream/talc onto the area of his hand...I have cried so many times in guilt. With this talc he can put it on himself and rubs it in with no fuss or pain!!. I have just shown him the talc and a big smile crossed his face!!...Thank you Carol

Carol is a star - shame you cannot buy in the UK, please let me know if you want me to bring some back for you next August.

Why is that you can get creams etc in the States that do a better job than here? Last year friends of mine bought some off the shelf cream in Walmart for their daughter who has really bad ecezma. They asked me to get them some on my recent trip so I nearly bought all the stock for them as it really helps clear it up.
As I tell my DH the DIS are my second family :rotfl:
Sening lots of :wizard: to Carol for her kindness
I'm there again in November so let me know too.

That is so lovely. There are always wonderful tales of people helping each other out on the Dis :)

Well done Carol, what a lovely thing to do!

Its actually just Johnsons Baby Talc....basically what happened was being the terrible mum I am I forgot to pack the cream thats prescribed for Sam (he lost fingers/lots of damage to his hand in an accident a couple of years back and although the hospital was fantastic in operations etc the scarring sometimes gets infected, weeps etc)
When we use the cream or talc if it just needs drying out..it works but takes time and he is in pain when we put it on. In Florida (August) it strated to weep a little so all we could find was Johnsons Baby Talc at Caribbean Beach where we were staying....but the Johnsons Baby Talc over there is different to ours as its 100% cornstarch and has added aloe vera etc. At first we thought the heat was a healing factor but when we got it home and carried on using it....we could not believe how perfect it works!!. As we did not know before we left Florida how great it was we did not stock up on it thus my original begging thread on here!!...Johnsons confrmed to me it was unavailable in the UK and could be bought in smal tubs in the US!!
Carol was my saviour and offered to pick a couple up whilst over there!! :cloud9:

Once again DIS board demonstrates true Disney spirit. Walt would be proud :goodvibes

Hope the talc is working it's magic as we speak & thank you Carol people like you are the reason we all love the DIS so much :flower:
