Has anyone used a caricature artist at their reception? DF and I were thinking that would be a fun thing to do but are wondering how much it's going to cost? Or does anyone else have anything fun and unique they did at their receptions?

We had a caricature artist and a magician. They were both fabulous, and because there were only 17 guests, it filled out time wonderfully. We only had background music so it would have felt a little flat otherwise.
The caricature artist was super. We fed him info on each guest and he made them into really funny pictures. They were hilarious, and our guests loved every minute of it.
We paid $425 for each artist to come, and we had them for about 2 hours each.
Best money we spent. It also works out as a gift for each guest as they get to take home a memory of that evening.

Thanks for the info! I was hoping that this would be feasible and at that price it sounds totally worth it. The magician sounds like it would be fun too. Did you give the guests anything to make sure the caricatures made it home safely? We were planing on making these the favors so we weren't sure if you could get a personalized tube or something similar.

hi
No he didn't give any of us a tube to transport it home, but we asked in the Disney store at DTD, and they gave us some that they use for posters.
The magician was great too. We thought he might have just been a childrens entertainer, but he wasn't. He was able to include everyone. He gave everybody a chance to have a trick tested out on them. He was great, and was such a laugh!
Having artists at your wedding is a great way to pass time, and makes the evening more enjoyable for your guests, plus they are getting something to take home with them, which always goes down well.
