We are thinking about staying here for an upcoming trip?

Anyone know how long it actually takes to get from the hotel
to the different parks? MGM MK Were taking a quick trip for star wars weekend.

How is the resort? The website looks great but sometimes they are misleading?

TIA,
Connie

Its not a bad resort, decent location, takes maybe 10 minutes to get to Epcot or MGM, 15 to MK or DAK. Just be careful - 2 police officers were shot there last week trying to aprehend some car thieves.

Stayed there last week for a conference. My room in Tower 1 was decent except for the ancient televisions in both the bedroom and living room. Stayed on the 6th floor and had distant views of the Epcot sphere, Cirque and Planet Hollywood. The fireworks were barely visible, as most were shot low over the water. The hotel offers free transportation to the parks. We only utilized the Downtown Disney bus. It picks up at 6:05 and 8:05. It did make a stop at the hotel next door to drop off and pickup riders. There was only one return time of 11:20 pm. Not sure on the times for the other parks. If you don't want to ride the bus, they did have an in-house Hertz counter near the lobby. The pool was nicely sized, had running waterfalls on one side and had several water slides on the other side. Drinks at the pool bar were higher in price. Wait until the bar inside opens up later in the afternoon and pay the same for larger glasses. Restaurants are the usual high resort prices. There is a Ponderosa across the street, as well as an asian restaurant. Also a CVS store, where you could purchase smaller items to place in the room fridge. Being a police officer myself, I didn't notice any stepped up security this past week.

We stayed there for a week over spring break this year., We always stay on site at WDW and decided to late to go on vacation and could not get any hotel rooms on site.

We got the Caribe Royal for $120.00 a night. I was pleasanty surprised. Beautiful hotel, nice pool. I found the staff very helpful. Easy access to parks. We drove everyday. I know there is a shuttle. Some of the furniture could use an update, but overall not bad. A lot of room.

For someone, who considers herself a Disney resort snob...I would stay here again. Feel free to PM me any specific questions you might have.i

We just returned from here, stayed in the two bedroom villas. They were really nice, as was the pool with the water slide. The staff was very helpful and friendly. My husband was on a conference. The rate for the villa was $254.

I have never stayed there, but from the outside, it looks nice. As BroadwayGirl said 2 officers were shot there 2-3 weeks ago. I was at Disney the day it happened. On the same token. I was also at Downtown Disney on Sat in the afternoon before the couple were abducted (after midnight Sat...making it Sunday)... so be careful anywhere you go.. not just there. People forget and think that crime goes on vacation because they are on vacation. Wrong.. crime never takes a vacation.. no matter where you are..
Where ever you go and where ever you decide to stay, be careful.. not just there...

Loved the pool area and Very clean plus towels were always well stocked up for our returning back from the parks...there was just one thing that there was no machine that had any detergent or softener sheets... they were all out... bring your own if you are going to wash ...incase...:headache:
