Caribe Royale or Sheraton Vistana Resort?

Sheraton HANDS DOWN!!!

The Sheraton is brands NEW, the villa's are much larger than Caribe Royals... The Sheraton Villa's come with washer/dryer, full kitchen, living room & separate bedroom, they also have whirlpool tubs... The Sheraton is also furnished with a better quality of furniture as well... To top that all off, I've often read that the Caribe Royals hallways are noisy.....

Hope this helps!!! This is an excellent location relative to Disney... there is no traffic, and in about 5 minutes you'll be on property!!

We stayed at a Vistana in '94, 5 minutes from WDW. We bought a friends time share week. Is this the same place that was time share only back then? When you said it was brand new, I began to wonder if the Sheraton built one and purchased the Vistana time share place too. <IMG SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif" alt="confused">

Sheraton took over management of the Vistana Resort that's immediately off I-4 (7 sections with lots of pools and activities). It's now called Sheraton Vistana Resort.

They have also opened the first phase of a new Orlando resort, Sheraton Vistana Villages.

This one is located on south I-Drive (easy commuting to any of the area's theme parks, just moderate to light traffic - nothing like upper I-Drive or Kissimmee).

Perhaps these posts are talking about the two different places. But both seem to be getting very good reviews from guests so it may not matter. I haven't stayed at Caribe Royale but I have stayed at various Homewood Suites, Embassy Suites, Comfort Suites as well as several Gold Crown timeshare resorts in Orlando, including Sheraton Vistana Resort (the original).

A top quality timeshare resort is generally FAR superior to a good suite hotel. The timeshare villas are much bigger, more luxurious, with better furnishings and much better-equipped kitchens and baths. The grounds are nicer and the pool areas & children's activities are more extensive than any suite hotel. At similar rates, it's a no-brainer. Take the Vistana!
