Caribe Royal or Buena Vista Suites?

I can only comment on Buena Vista Suites. However, I think Caribe Royale is probably the better property as the units are larger and it has a much bigger, better pool.

We have stayed multiple times at BVS either the day before or after checking out of our timeshare. It's a nice hotel. We've always had a room with two full/queen beds in it and then a wall with a small sitting area. The sofa in there has been fine for two small kids. I seem to remember a small refrigerator too. The pool is small. The breakfast (it's been a couple years) was always good.

I would suggest you post on the DIS Orlando board for more comments.

I stayed at the Caribe Royale over Easter weekend last year, just for one night, when we were in the area visiting family and wanted to do one day at Islands of Adventure. We weren't there for very long, but I will say that parking at night was a problem. Granted, it was one of the busiest theme park weekends of the year, so unless you are traveling then, you may not have a problem.

Must have been timing. We just checked out this morning, and there was a ton of parking, even with the trade show DH was working.

I have stayed at both of these properties. BVS includes a buffet hot breakfast, pool is basic and we find it more of a place to sleep & shower as apposed to a resort. Yet, it's always been very clean and staff is very friendly. Caribe is more of a resort, awesome pool, gym, nightly movies at the pool area, pool side bar and grill, many restaurants and wonderful staff. Rooms at both properties are set up the same way, but in my opinion, Caribe is a bit more elegant.

Which one is better? The only difference to me look like the pool areas?

We stayed at Buena Vista Suites last July. We did not like it. It wasn't clean, pool was small and dirty, hard to find parking, room stunk, wallpaper was falling of the walls and I could go on and on. I have a son with asthma. He had full blown pneumonia by the time we got home and I firmly believe it was the mildew (smells) in the hallway and rooms.

It was very convenient to drive to Disney. I have heard they had a recent remodel. I can tell you, it was needed. It may be better now, but I am not sure if I would try it again.
