:earsboy: Hi all, i am new to this forum. I have been on many vacation trips to Disney World, but never have I stayed on their property, (money reasons). This year we will be staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort and I was looking for some feed back on it. Thank you for your help.

Hi Goofy,

The beach resort is great, multiple pools, a beach with white sand, and tiny boats to rent. FUN!

However, it is more expensive and there is so much to do in the parks you never have time to enjoy it. I stayed there and only went in the pool once and the rest of the time was spent at the parks.

You should spend your money on the fun stuff not where you sleep. The Allstar resorts are better for your money and your kids will love it too.

Just one person's opinion.

Have a great time.

Hi Goofy41! Welcome to the DIS boards!

I love the Caribbean Beach Resort (CBR) and have stayed there twice. Last May and again just a couple of weeks ago. I have created some web pages with many pictures and lots of info about this resort. Click on my vacations link below to see my pictures from last May, then on the main page you can click on the CBR logo to see my new pics. :)

I think if you can get a code and get a discount for a moderate you would have more fun at CBR than the Allstars, its nicer....well at least for us it is...we don't have kids and we spent about 1/2 our time at the resort because we had perfect weather and we just love to relax and sit by the pool, plus we tried the water mice and other stuff they have at CBR, so paying alittle more for CBR was really worth it for us, but if you don't plan to be around the resort much, then I guess Allstars is cheaper...just depends on if you can get a code for the time you are going.

I have stayed at the CBR twice and have also stayed at all three of the All Stars. If there are only two people in your party the All Star rooms are adequate. However if you have 3-4/room then you really will be happier with the additional room you have at the CBR. There are good things about both resorts, but you will have more privacy at the CBR. While at the All Stars there is always alot of actvity and many more people ie. in common areas, food court, pool, and bus stop. If you can afford the extra cost than the moderates are the way to go. Have fun:cool:

We've only walked the resort and the grounds are beautiful. Like all the moderates, the rooms are fairly simple but typically clean. Stop by our site, as I've taken many pictures there of the landscaping, food court and buildings.

Have a wonderful trip.

We have always been very happy at the CBR. Our preference is Martinique. I think you would enjoy it there

When are you going ?? Check out mousesavers.com to see if you can use any of the codes. I got CBR for $94 ($104 with tax) for the first weekend in May. Even if you already made your reservation, you can call them back with the code. If you want to be near the food court, main pool, etc. make it known to the CM when you make your reservations. Don't forget to check out the Restaurant board and make some priority seatings. wdwig.com is also a great website for planning, as well! Have fun planning!!!

Hi! I see by your profile that you have 3 boys. Staying at the CBR is a GREAT decision. It's beautiful and fun. The resort is the biggest on WDW property and there's a lot of fun stuff to do. Sometimes they will have a Calypso Band near the pool/bar/food court at night and it's a lot of fun.

I hope you enjoy your vacation!

Thanks to all who responded, espically suzy all your web sites help me a lot. Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We really enjoyed out stay at CBR despite it's need of refurb when we visited. But I hear it is nicely redone now. Beautiful grounds-we loved walking back to martinique at night. Have fun!!

I hear there are different areas at CBR like Barbados, Martinique, etc. Which of these do you recommend as to being as close I can to the food court and pool areas. All of your input has been very helpful.

Martinique and Trinidad North are the closest to the food court. Barbados and Trinidad South are the farthest away. Jamaica and Aruba are in the middle... just a short trip over the bridge and around Parrot Cay.

Martinique is my favorite. :)
