S.O.S. lol We leave Thursday for a split stay: 2 nights AKL Kidani then what was to be 2 nights POP. 2 adults, 1 toddler. I was so excited about POP - thought my toddler would love the theming, room set-up nice because only 1 bed always down so more room for her pack-n-play, Skyliner for Epcot. Well my husband got in my head about staying Value bc this is a special trip (birthday/anniversary), so I've been checking every day for other availability.

Randomly a preferred room at CBR opened up. I switched to it on a whim...and now I think I regret it :(

Someone tell me I didn't make a mistake (POP not available to switch back to) - price actually wasn't that big of a difference which is why I jumped on it, but now I'm thinking the room set up (2 beds), size of resort etc is going to be a downfall because those two days are our park days anyway.

Ugh for impulse decisions!

I wouldn't worry too much about it. What's done is done. You're still going to have the skyliner and you're still at Disney. We love POP and my girls prefer it over Moderates due to the theming. They say it just doesn't feel like Disney if we're not staying at POP. :-) Your toddler won't know any different. So go and enjoy, and stop fretting.

We’ve stayed at both and while POP is cool, CBR is nicer.

First you’re making a jump from POP’s 260 square feet to CBR having 314sf.

If your not spending much time at the resort it may not matter much but to me CBR has nicer amenities all around. The pool is nicer, playground nicer, food options better, etc. And the room is nicer- I think it was DisneyTouristBlog who called it ‘Poly light’ lol.

CBR also has King bed rooms (just 1 bed), along with the newest refurb ‘mermaid’ rooms that have one murphy bed that you can close. It’s been a few years so I’m not certain how to confirm getting those but I’m sure the CBR resort thread would help with recent experiences.

We stayed at CBR recently and were upgraded to preferred. We loved it! Will definitely stay there next time. I think you'll really like it.
Great news! Tried a quick search of preferred and found the locations - which area were you in? Were they by chance renovated? And how close to Skyliner?

We were in Barbados, I think building 32. It was not renovated but was perfectly fine. Didn't feel rundown at all. Very quick walk to Skyliner, maybe 5 minutes. A little closer to the main building.

We were in a preferred room in Martinique in November 2021 and loved it. We were close to the food court and then from that bus stop either took the internal bus to the Skyliner on our Epcot and DHS day or the park buses to AK and MK the other days.

My only advice for Caribbean Beach is to figure out which bus stop the busses stop at first and walk there for a Magic Kingdom day. Or walk to the Riviera stop if you are close to there. The last time we stayed at CBR, we got to the bus stop at peak time and watched 2 full busses drive by without stopping at our stop. We waited almost an hour for a bus.

As far as resort, our kids love Pop and we wouldn't spend the extra $$ to upgrade to CBR but what is done is done.

We've stayed in both and we all much preferred CBR. The pool is great and the whole resort more relaxed and quieter than Pop. You can also walk over to Riviera for their dining, their QS was really good. I've heard of bus issues at CBR but we never had any, always got on the first bus anywhere.

We have stayed at both POP and CBR and I love CBR. I like POP too however, I like CBR more. The rooms are larger. The pool is awesome! They have slides and a small slide for younger kids from what I can recall. It's underrated IMHO. I stayed there before the skyliner and loved it. It's even better now with the skyliner. We stayed in the Martinique section, it was close to the main lobby and pool. The landscaping is beautiful! You can take the skyliner to POP and AOA if you want to look around too. I think you're going to love it!
