We're planning a trip to Disney in July and can't decide between the Caribbean Beach and Coronado Springs resorts. No kids, just three of us in our mid-20s. Any advice/reviews would be greatly appreciated!

Can't wait to be there!

:D We have stayed at both and CBR is great with kids and Coranado was just plain blah...no Disney feeling to it at all.

Since you don't have kids I would recommend Port Orleans Riverside if you're going the Moderate route. Great resort, nice grounds, good pool, good bar, good food court. I think you'd like this better than the other two.:D

Having stayed at both, I would take CSR, hands down. We found everything there to be much nicer than CBR - the atmosphere, the rooms, the food court, the pool, everything. CBR was OK, but we gave CSR a try on last trip because CBR was the only other moderate available, and we just weren't keen on staying there again.

Have a great time whichever resort you choose!

We love CBR and didn't like CSR. It all comes down to theming. Pick the moderate that appeals to you. You can't go wrong with any of them.

It doesn't seem like we're giving you much help since the votes are pretty much split down the middle. I've also stayed at both and prefer CSR. Better pool and food court.

We liked our stay at CSR. The Disney feeling is there, I didn't have to look for it. It was a "magical" stay for us.

While we do have kids, we found many less kids at CSR.

Amenities are great and not crowded! I think because it is the newest of the moderates, they saw a need to upgrade these.

"Food Court" is certainly a step up that I think an adults only group would appreciate.

Look at Buzz's website !!

We would go back here in a heartbeat !

Leaving in 3 days !:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Oh boy......you may have to just toss a coin! :p

We have stayed at both......
Both have things that are better than the other. I think it will be a tough decision for you.

CBR has the beach...and you can view Illuminations from there.
CBR has the food court and main pool together.
CBR just recently had the food court refurbished!!

CSR I think is geared more towards adults.
CSR has a better main pool.
CSR .....the food court has better selections, although people complain about the 10% gratuity, but you don't have to pay that.

I enjoy the atmosphere at CSR much more! I love the Southwestern theme......
But if you like a tropical theme, you can still get that from the Cabanas at CSR.
IMHO.....the Cabanas looks just like CBR.

CSR is my favorite mod.
CBR is my DH favorite mod.

You will need to toss a coin!! Good luck

We like them both, but I would vote for CSR b/c it has a more deluxe feel and a significantly better pool.

CSR has a great bar called Francisco's in the main building and the bar at the main pool area is great too. They also have a sand volleyball court at the main pool site.

I've stayed at both CBR and CSR many times and like most here I enjoyed both. I'm 19 and the years I stayed at CBR I was younger, like 5, 9, 11, 12 and then we started staying at CSR.

I think more than anything it depends on personal preference.

I find CBR to be more kid oriented, there are several playgrounds, the building are brightly coloured, the pool has a pirate theme. To me very kid-centric as well as being tropical, but it is definately a great resort.

As a teenager I have stayed at CSR 6 times (my 7th time coming up on Saturday!! :) ) And I feel it has a deluxe feel to it, more southwestern with colours that are cheerful but a bit more subdued, like deep reds, golden yellows, turquoises etc...very southwestern. The casitas would be my suggestion in terms of an area to stay in. They are so romantic with a beautiful ambiance.
The pool area at CSR is far better in my estimation as well with a Mayan pyramid, archaeological dig feel to it.

Whichever you choose you will enjoy but I would cast my vote for CSR (and check out the CSR FAQ thread, the link is ion my signature :) )

Another CBR fan here!! I love this resort; it has the largest rooms of all the moderate resorts, it has that "vacation-within-a-vacation" feel to it, the promenade around the lake is very romantic at night and yet lots of fun to walk around during the day, beautiful lush tropical plants, you can see some of the fireworks from Epcot at night, the poolbar makes the BEST drinks, there are beaches with soft white sand, huge hammocks for two, volleyball court on one of the beaches, and several playgrounds. I've stayed there twice and the bus service was excellent. All of the rooms there were entirely refurbished within the last couple of years, too.

I personally would take Coronado over Caribbean anyday. The food court is better. You can mix and match food there where at Caribbean you can't. You have to pay at each counter where you get something.

The pool at Coronado is bigger and much more fun IMO.

CBR!!!!

I have stayed here many times, with and without kids. I really noticed the extra space in the rooms. I think the location of the quiet pools are great, rarely crowded. The last time I stayed here, Mother's Day 2003, the food court had been changed, so that you take your food to a central payment area, similar to POR.
I love the theme of the resort, a great change from the midwest. The rooms were refurbished in the past few years, the addition of the privacy curtain between the bedroom and bath is nice. The lake is pretty, and the walk across the bridge is short.

Regarding CSR, we spent a night of our visit this past Feb, and while I enjoyed the resort, we were in the building furthest from the main building. It was quiet the hike. The main pool is nice, the hot tub is large and separate from the pool. The rooms were noticebly smaller, but the theming was pleasant. This is a conference hotel, so many more guests were dressed in business attire. (I don't like to think about work while I am on vacation) We moved to WL for the remainder of our vacation, couldn't pass up the rate, hope to stay there again!!!
