Am staying at the Caribbean Beach for the first time for 2 nights. Since I'm going solo, I'm a little nervous about the size of this resort. Can anyone recommend a good building to stay in? I am arriving on a busy weekend, so I know the resort may be crowded. I was thinking of staying in Martinque since I'm going to be there solo and it is close to the main building, but am concerned that it will be really crowded and noisy. Am I nervous for nothing? How is the transportation? I am transferring early in the morning from the CBR to the WL. Do they have cabs waiting or do I need to request one ahead of time? Is the water boat package just for the CBR or is it resort wide?

HELP!!!!

You are worrying over nothing. I have stayed solo at CBR. Martinique is a good location. I don't there are any real noisy locations at CBR.

I can't tell you about the transportation because I always drive. I suggest you read through the CBR FAQ thread for up to date info on CBR.

They do have cabs available. I am sure if you call the front desk from your room they could come to you.

Not sure about the water package being good all over property.

I don't know about which building is best, but I will say that transportation was the absolute pits! It was on that trip that we decided that from now on, we're renting a car for our Disney trips. We were there during Lotusphere, and their buses went by much more frequently than the resort buses did.

We stayed there 10/4 to 10/11 and can tell you that the transporation is fabulous! NO PROBLEMS at all!!!!!! Plus, everyone was helpful about letting us know how to get from one place to the next and we even got a brochure at check-in detailing how to get anywhere.

The water transportation is for anyone. We ended our day at Epcot, walked over to Boardwalk and took the boat to MGM.

We stayed in Jamacia, bldg 43, and it was quiet with a beautiful walk to Old Port Royale and easy bus stop access. So if Martinique doesn't have room, which was the case at our check-in, no clean rooms yet, don't worry. Just explain what you're looking for and they'll do all they can to accommodate you.

Stayed there twice this year. The first time we were at Trindad South which is a bit of a hike, but nothing bad. It was a really nice walk actually. The second time was at Martinique which was great! Transportation was outstanding. Food court is OK. Pools are nice. Resort is simply lovely - enjoy!

I've bben there twice. Both times in Martinique. It was close to the food, and a little walk from the bus stop. Don't worry. CB is an awesome resort. It is beautiful and tranquil. Plus don't forget to stop on the lake and see the fireworks.

I guess I just got a little nervous with the size of this resort. I put in a request for Matinque and will see what happens.

sm4987 -- What lake? Where should I stop?

Thanks again everyone!!!

There is a nice size lake in the middle of CBR. You can see the Epcot fireworks very well from the beach at Martinique.
