HI. I am looking for a car service/town car to take us from LAX to the DIsneyland Hotel. We are two adults and a seven month infant boy.
We will have his car seat and a stroller as well as our suitcases.
Can anyone recommend a car service that is reputable and could accomodate us and our stroller/suitcases? We do not want SuperShuttle because after the flight we want to get to the Disneyland Hotel as soon as possible.

Is it possible for us to be picked up in a mini-van or a town car or van?
Any information is appreciated. Also any reviews of car service are welcome.
Thanks in advance!!

I just booked Zippy's Shuttle last night. He is direct to the resort. I have read the reviews online and they have all been good. He was very quick to respond to my e-mails. Hope this helps.

My boyfriend and I used gosedan, which is another branch of primetime shuttle. The drivers and the cars were nice, and the first driver met us right at the luggage place. Both drivers drove safely. I thought the price was reasonable (around $80 something back in 2008), and the best part is that gratuity was included. That meant that when we arrived at the hotel, all I had to do was sign a small paper and leave instead of trying to get the tip together. The car is not a towncar, but it is still nice and luxurious. I think a real towncar is around $10 more from primetime. You can go to the primetime website to get a quote for the shuttle, sedan, and towncar services at the same time.

You might consider the Disneyland Resort Express, operated by Grayline. It's a big comfortable tour bus, and it stops at the DL hotels first. I haven't done it myself, but I understand that it leaves on a regular basis and is a pleasant way to go without breaking the bank. It's only $30 round trip for each adult, and your baby would be free. Here's the link: http://graylineanaheim.com/docs/GL Anaheim DRE Brochure 2008.pdf

Hope that helps--

We just did the DLR Express and NEVER AGAIN! If OP is traveling with a lot of gear and an infant, definitely spring for a private car. Cheaper is NOT always better.

After the pick up at our terminal, we spent the next hour stopping at all the other terminals to pick up other passengers. Then, after arriving at the DLR area, we were the LAST stop and we were staying at the GCH.
The DL hotel was not the first stop; there were multiple stops before we got on-property.

It took us longer to get from LAX to GCH than it did for us to FLY from Kansas City to LAX.

I realize that I may have had an atypical experience but no matter, it was not pleasant and we'll ALWAYS do a private car from here on out. Especially when we bring the young'uns!

Yeah, I don't recommend the DL Express if you have a family. For one person you can save some money, but for more than that, a car service is better and more convenient.

I have used Golden West Express. They have vans and town cars. They can give you an online quote, he is always quick to get back to me.

Best Worldwide (www.best-trans.com) has taken care of us twice, first time a stretch with the family, second time a towncar with hubbie and there was plenty of room in the back seat with lots of legroom. We have another reservation with them in December for a stretch with the family again and can't wait. They've always been very good. The cars were clean, beverages provided, prompt service and really nice drivers. They may still have an online discount of 20% available if you want to check it out. Whichever way you get to DL, have lot's of fun with the little one! :)

ps: I also answered you on the other board, JoeCool. Again, I wish you a wonderful trip with your family!

Approx. how much do they charge? We are trying to decide whether to rent a car for the day and drive ourselves or rent a car service. Thanks

Thanks to you and everyone who responded. I am going to get quotes from all the business that were recommended...I will let you know who I decide to go with!

Thanks for the tip! Very helpful information!

I'll throw in my support for Zippy Shuttle - fast, courteous, gratuity included, pre-paid round trip - and a quick private ride right to the hotel lobby. The cost for our round trip for 3 is $146. We get in at 9:00pm, so I am not willing to stop at all the terminals (we are at 1) looking for other people, or driving around to different hotels when we go back to the airport.

The best quote I've rec'd as of yet is from Winn Limo for a 6 pasenger stretch from LAX to the DLH for $110 + $8 airport fee (gratuity not included).
ww. 911limos.com. Primetime is offerring a flat fee of 15o.oo gratuity included.
Good Luck:)

Hi cari12, The price I'm paying for this year's December trip with a 10-passenger stretch from Best Worldwide is about $380 (r/t) and it includes the gratuity and airport fees. I know that sound expensive and is about what I would pay for a week of rental car but I'll get to have a great time in a big car with the kids and grandkids, I won't have to ride the shuttle back and forth to the car rental agency, I won't have to park the car at the hotel AND I won't have to drive in LA traffic :cool1:

I just booked my car service reservation with Golden West Express. For the three of us - 2 adults and a seven month old, it is $98 each way to the Disneyland Hotel. We get our own mini van. Golden West Express will be picking us up on the return. I will let everyone know how it is.

We decided on using Golden West Express. They are the best. The driver promptly picked us up after we landed at LAX and got our baggage. We requested a van because of the stroller and extra bags and we were picked up in a van. The driver was friendly and nice. We needed to stop at a Walgreens (needed to get some more baby stuff) in Anaheim before getting dropped off at the Disneyland Hotel and our driver took us to a Walgreens near DLH. The trip took a little over 30 minutes with the stop off at Walgreens.

Our pickup to go home was perfect as well. Our driver (the same one that picked us up at LAX) with the van was waiting for us outside of the DLH. We got to the airport in about 40 minutes.

The trip cost $98 (without tip)each way. Well worth the money!
We gave the driver a generous tip each time.

I recommended Golden West Express. The driver and the man who took our reservations over the phone were great. We will definitely use them for our future trips.
