I am thinking of ordering a car service for my Dec trip. I would like a service that includes meet inside airport by baggage and they assist with luggage off the turnstyle and into car. Does anyone have a service they have used and would recommend?

No idea when the airport will allow that.
I had car service earlier this month and the driver was not allowed to meet me inside for the luggage pick up

Check with the airport when that will be lifted

I think Ace Luxury Transportation is still offering that. They were when I used them last November.

I used Mears in May. They were professional and helpful. But as Macraven says, I don't think they're allowed inside anymore.

An airport porter may be available to help you manage your luggage and get it onto the sidewalk, where the driver can take over.

There are car services which will meet you at baggage claim. I've see drivers with signs waiting at the escalator last time was middle of September Call and ask. Maybe offer to pay extra. FWIW FL Tours still lists meet n greet on their website

Yes,. I have used the same gentleman Tony Hinds for almost 15 years now. He is wonderful. We see him 2-3 times a year and he has become family. He or one of his team meets you at baggage, helps with bags, and takes you to the car. He will also do a grocery stop (20 minutes) along the way for you to pick up groceries or in our case alcohol. He is absolutely wonderful. Many of our friends now use him when they go. Can't say enough wonderful things about him and his service (and I am very picky). Tony Hinds 407.406.9093 and tell him Debbie sent you. He will take good care of you.

Interesting .... we have always had our driver meet us at baggage - even in August. Wonder if that changed.

No idea!
I had Tony but he called me and said he could not come in to get my luggage and so I met him for the pick up outside

Things change frequently so who knows when all will be back to a regular normal we can count on

What type of car does he use? We will be 4 adults and 1child, that would need a booster seat.

Huh ... now that you said that I guess it was the trip before. We did only have 1 bag so met him outside. In March he met us I think ... or it could have been Dec. I would use him no matter what tho! There are sky cabs inside who can help w luggage.

Please give him a call. He is very honest. He will tell you. Or you can text him. Lately it has just been 2 of us. He doesn't mind just giving you the info. Never pushy for you to book. He used to have a 10 person van but as I recall he sold it and got a large SUV. He may still have access to larger vans tho ... just not sure. But we love his service and have had others on his team pick us up. Always happy.

Or it could be my memory. Too many trips lately.

We use Tiffany Town car every trip. They are definitely meeting you outside the baggage claim area. We have used them 5 times this year, family has used them 3 or 4 times. The driver texts as your plane arrives to ask if you have luggage. You get your bags then walk right outside & text when you’re ready. The driver is there within minutes. I think they have a different waiting area & they’re not allowed to park their cars in the inside drive area like they used to. In all 5 trips, I only saw a single driver waiting for passengers at the stairwell twice. Nothing like it was precovid.

And one more FYI, in almost 30 years of trips, going multiple times a year, I’ve never had or seen a driver actually get bags off the belt. You grab your own bags, then the driver would help pull them away. So I wouldn’t expect a driver to help with that that no matter who you use OP.

I had always heard such great things about Tony but my family's one trip with him did not turn out well at all. We had him scheduled to pick us up at the Orlando airport from a non stop flight . The flight was delayed twice and both times I sent him a text to keep him updated. We ended up getting to the Orlando airport a little over an hour late and as soon as we were allowed to I turned on my phone to let him know we had landed. My phone had a couple of messages from one of his drivers calling to ask if we were at the airport yet. Any other company we have used over the years have always kept track of our flight and knew when we had arrived even if our flight was delayed. Odd but not a big problem though the driver seemed more and more upset with his messages. I would think late arriving planes happen all the time.

Because we were an hour late it was now dark out. Our driver told us where to meet him and we loaded the van up as there was 6 of us and 2 were children in car seats. We had scheduled a store stop and on the way I did wonder why a couple of cars at different times flashed their headlights at us but seated in the last row I didn't think much of it. I thought they must be warning us of an accident ahead or something similar. The driver was very talkative and seemed worried. When he totally missed the drive into our hotel my husband figured out what was happening. The van's headlights kept turning off, and staying off!!! When we went into the grocery store my husband stayed out in the van and said the driver had the hood of the van up and was working on the vehicle's wiring. He didn't put 2 and 2 together though until the headlights went out and the driver missed the hotel driveway. He waited until we got into the hotel before he said anything to me though! We could have so easily been killed!! Remember all of the vehicle's flashing their headlights at us?

Needless to say I called Tony and we had a long conversation that night. Tony sent another company to bring us back to the airport and was apologetic but I will never use his company again. There is just no excuse at all for that ever happening.

Many of the issues with small car service companies arise when they overbook and sub out the job. Frequently works great but occasionally they have to find lesser drivers. I suspect using Mears might reduce the issue but at higher cost.

Current state of airline schedule changes must make it harder to schedule drivers
