Info: Our daughter will be bringing a booster, a rear-facing and forward facing car seat when we fly into MCO. We want to look at the option of having a car-service take us to our WDW hotel. (I know several services offer various car seat options, our daughter insists on bringing their own car seats. I am supporting this decision, but trying to figure out how to make it work!) as our flight gets in late-ish, trying to figure out if we should rent cars from the airport, or have a car service getting us to the hotel.

The question: in the area where the car services park the vehicles, while they do a meet and greet, does this allow for 2 parents to install 2 car seats into the vehicle?

All I can picture in my head is trying to jump into a taxi, and having the driver take off immediately, obviously, we are not doing taxis, I’m just trying to figure out how this works!

I honestly wish she would figure out this segment of our trip to meet her safety standards, and honestly, I don’t care how much it costs, I just need “this” piece of the trip solved.

You're asking the wrong questions.😃

Taxi, ride share or car service will wait until you install car seats.

Some car seats don't allow enough room to for an adult to sit in the adjacent seat. Make sure the vehicle you select is big enough.

When you book the car service tell them about the car seats, number of passengers and the amount of luggage. It's Orlando. Lots of parents bring car seats.

Edited to add apologies if I selected the wrong smilie thing

Thank you Lewisc, your answer is very helpful. And yes…we’ll be in parks for 3 days…starting off with 5 adults, 3 kiddos. And then 4 adults and 3 kiddos heading off to Disney cruise. So, definitely taking into account amount of luggage and that “I” am not going to get smooshed in between car seats. If we rent/return cars from the car care center (it will be 2 sedans) we will not be transporting luggage in the rental cars, and will be taking car service to the port. And then we can relax and let someone else do the driving. This has just got so darn complicated…

Make it simple. Call or email 2 or 3 companies. Tell them what you need. Pick one and book it.

Are you staying on property? Skip the rental
I would love to skip the rentals…we are staying at Coronado Springs…the kids will not be riding in buses without car seats. Plus, there will be a day at Universal too.

(Originally when this trip was being planned, my Daughter and son-in-law were going to drive from WI, and the scope of the trip was only a cruise.)

She should probably rent a car. Not all car seats are going to install correctly forward facing in every car. I am incredibly picky about car seats as well. I brought a seat for the plane for my 3 year old but didn’t want to use it in the car (don’t love the cosco seats for cars).

We used MCO2Disney when we went, I asked them quite a few questions about car seats before booking. The car seat they provided looked brand new and was correctly installed (we doubled checked it), they also had a second seat already installed for next group they were picking up and it was equally nice. I would recommend them.
