I'm trying to go with my 4 and 5 yr olds, do I need to bring car seats for the plane? I'm going alone with them for 6 nights I'm tyring to go for the less is more thing as far as luggage.

No car seats are not required on the plane. and at the ages of yours there is no way I'd bring them and try to haul all that thru the airport, especially by myself. If you aren't renting a car you will not need them at Disney at all. Even with a car in Florida they are not required to have one then either.

I stopped using car seats for my kids at age 4 for airplane travel, and you cannot use booster seats on an airplane.

If you are going to use Disney transportation you won't need them at all since you will be travelling in busses. If you are renting a car, just have the car seats checked with your bags at the airport. They do not count as luggage. Although local laws may allow children not to be in car/booster seats, for safety purposes I always use them until they reach the age of not needing them anymore. You can never be too safe in a car, IMHO!

No car seats needed for the plane. I read on some FAA website a few years ago that you needed them. We brought ours for our then 3 year old. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!
Trying to lug it thru the seats, ***** people trying to get off before us on the plane...
We then learned that they were not required but STRONGLY SUGGESTED. This of course was 2 years ago. Things may be different now.
We also learned that we would have been given a car seat for free at the car rental place.
