Car Rentals Jumpting

WOW, did Alamo jump today! Rentals are $50 higher than yesterday.

I booked a few months ago (driving from PA to FL, June 7-17, minivan) and the best rate that I could get was 455. I reserved that, and another slightly higher at a different place just in case I could get a better deal. No such luck!!

Sure wish things would get lower.

Not sure if it will work for you, but try your Alamo rental with ID #7013604. That gave me $31 off before I even added the coupon code.

Thank you. The ID gave me 99 cents off my rental, so I'm not going to rebook it yet, but I will keep checking with it. Do you have to belong to something (Costco, etc) to use it?

I just did some further research on that one because someone else asked me about it. It's strange, but looking at the Alamo site, it shoes that it's the ID for the Amex special that they have right now. I don't have an Amex and never clicked on the Amex special, but when I was pricing things yesterday, it just popped in on my reservation. Very strange. I'm trying to figure out how I can inquire about whether it would be honored without giving away the trick. It did let me stack it and confirmed my reservation, but I don't want a "surprise" when it comes time to drop off the car.
