Car Rentals in February 2011

Anyone have any good deals yet. If so and you are willing to share your deal with codes I would love some help. I am having no luck finding great deals. We arrive on 2/1 and leave 2/10. We are looking for a standard car. Please help!!

For your dates you can get really good rate on a midsize right now, but not a standard. For your dates I found a midsize with Alamo for $180.09 including taxes and fees here:

It does require a visa card for that rate.

It gives you a couple of options:

At the start of January, Alamo will extend their upgrade coupons. You can modify your reservation at Alamo.com and add the upgrade coupon. It will increase your rate slightly, but you will have a standard or fullsize (sometimes you can find double upgrades) for around $215 total.

Alamo let you select your own car. You can see if they have anything on the midsize aisle that is big enough. If not request an upgrade.

Keep on checking rates as you may be able to get something comparable closer to your dates.

Budget use code x474200..you should see a huge discount..you can apply a coupon as well for more discounts. I am trying to get a dea for February as well from NY.I really need to be under 600.00..would u believe I am at 640.00 ughhhhh

I get emails from Booking Buddy who does all kinds of travel (flights, hotel, packages, cars). They do the comparison for you, and will also email you if rates drop. You could try there. (I'm sure there are other sites that compare for you also...that's one that I am enrolled in)

Great thread! I got a fantastic rate using the Entertainment Book at National [$228 for the 5th -13th] when I first booked. Just rechecked and was able to shave it down to $215...then decided to pickup the new entertainment book [30% off today with free ship & get the $5 back through quick rewards]....rebooked my Emerald Aisle car at $179.87! A savings of $48.26 - not bad for a couple minutes work!

I'll still keep looking for another blip down, but I'm pretty happy with that number!
