We are going to get a rental car the last week of our trip. I'm under 25 so they charge the $25 a day thing, My mom is coming and is leaving the day before us. Can she rent the car and can I turn it in? Do the check ID's when you turn in the car? Can I pay the 25 for the only day I use it?

I think you'll have to ensure you have extra driver (whether it is you or your mom). That way either of you can turn the car in. You'll be charged $25 per day for the entire length of use. And you'll both have to be at the counter to pick up the car since they want driver's license info from both parties who will drive the car and sometimes credit card info from the second driver.

They do not check ID when you return the car as far as I know, but I wouldn't risk any possibility of a collision without the proper coverage for you.

Have your mom return the car when she leaves and arrange for MEARS or through Disney Magical Express to get back to airport.

Thank you. I rented a car under my name and it was only 6 bucks a day for my age.
