Car Rental/ wdyt? I need a rental

for at least one week, possibly two. Do you think I should book two weeks and then it'd be ok to return after one week (Price not sure)?

Or, just book one week and then book again if need be?

The problem with this is that it could potentially disqualify you from whatever rate you have obtained, and that will lead to a nasty surprise on return.

I would be inclined to make two reservations, but call and see what your options might be.
 
I'm thinking that would be the best too... Then you can always cancel the 2nd reservation with no penalty.

Just to clarify on the no-penalty part. Make sure you read the fine print in booking, some higher end vehicles (ie. Hertz Prestige) and even minivans have been seen with "cancellation" charges, if cancelled within certain number of hours/days.

It is uncommon still, but one should always look.
