Traveling in May with 6 passengers (2 children/4adults). We need room for the following:
1. 1 toddler car seat
2. 1 booster seat
3. 1 electric handicap scooter (will need to rent)
4. Room for 2 large suitcases 2 small suitcases and 2 small carry ons
5. Umbrella stroller

My questions are

1. will a dodge caravan minivan fit all this?
2. Any tips on traveling with or renting car seats? Should I bring ours or rent?
3. Any one travel with electric scooter? Where did you rent and how did it fit in rental
4. How is parking at parks for handicap accessibility

We are traveling by way of southwest and staying in timeshare very close to parks (in between two disney resort hotels)

Thanks for any tips or feedback!!

1. Probably best is to go look at and in a Dodge Caravan to see what it appears it will hold.
1.1. Keep in mind, generally a rental category description is "_____ or similar".
2. Bring your own, because you nlknow the history and quality of them as well as how to install.
3. See the FAQ on the disABILITIES forum for mobility rental companies with which multiple DISers have had good experiences. Request one that can be disassembled.
4. Designated HP spaces at Magic Kingdom are relatively far from the TTC, then you still need to use the monorail or ferry. Closer at the other parks, but of course spaces can all be full at busy times. Naturally a handicap parking placard is required, and the person to whom it's issued must be in, and exiting or entering the vehicle.

I truly don't know if this could all be put into a mini van. We have a Toyota Sennia and while the back cargo hold is deep it is not very big when all the seats are in use.

You will likely have 2 captians chairs behind the driver and then a 3 person bench seat in the back. It will be easiest to put the toddler carseat in one of the captian chairs because it is a struggle to climb back everytime to buckle. The booster seat child can more than likely buckle themselves.

We had really stuffed things in the past, if you can get a small adult and the booster seat child in the back you may be able to drop a single seat allowing you more room for luggage. Just becareful becasue it will shift but your drive to the hotel should not be long.

Also, put stuff under the kids feet. A small suitcase can be like an otteman for a child. My only concern is your scooter, I really don't know how much room they can take up.

Hopefully someone else will also chime in.

We have fit our family and scooter in minivan. We used walker mobility ( see disability boards for detailed info). They are great! They deliver right to a lot of hotels & condos so, you don't need to try to fit in with luggage. They even transported it from one hotel to another for us when we were switching from universal to wdw. They scooter is fairly easy to take apart although it does take a little practice. We felt a little foolish our first time or 2 but then it was a timed race to see how quickly we could finish. If you can get the minivan with the extra storage are in the back that would give you extra room. The batteries you can always put in the main cabin of the van by someone's feet if you need the room.
