car rental needed near Disney

We are going to Sarasota after Disney and flying out of Tampa. We are going to use DME when we fly in and need to rent a car when we are ready to leave Disney. I know there is an Avis in the Hilton in DTD. Are there any other car rental agencies available? Also, has anyone rented one and how did you arrange transportation to the car rental? Can I use Disney transport to get to the Avis at the Hilton and how would I do it? Thanks

There is also National and Alamo on Disney property. They are both located in the car care center which is near the Ticket and Transportation Center. You can call ahead of time to have a shuttle pick you up from your resort and they will take you to the counter.

Has anyone used Avis out of the Hilton at DTD? How did you get there?

There is also an Alamo desk at the Dolphin. You pick up at the main entrance to the hotel (a valet takes the key and gets it for you). Where are you staying?

Give them a call and the should be able to pick you up in their courtsey van. Otherwise, hop a bus to DTD and walk across the street to the Hilton.
