National / Alamo have two locations on-site. The main location is the car car centre beside the Hess gas station near the exit to the MK parking lot. The other location is a counter at the Dolphin resort near Epcot.

Budget has a rental counter in the Doubletree Suites which is located within 5-10 min walking distance from the Marketplace at Downtown Disney.

Would definitely recommend reserving a car in advance with any of those locations.

We got a car from Alamo at the Buena Vista Place right across from the first DTD bus stop for less than $20 for one day.
Also enterprise will pick you up at your hotel. We have gotten good rates from them as well but not the last couple of trips.

Renting a car away from the airport can save you lots of money. I was looking at renting a car for 2 weeks over the Christmas holidays. Renting at Orlando Airport for a full size car runs at $900.00 total but.........renting the same type of car for the same dates at the dollar rental at Regal Sun resort at Downtown Disney is less than $500.00. So, I will take the Magical Express to WDW and then take a bus to DD and rent the car from there.

I rented a car for 24hrs this past Dec from National in the Dolphin Hotel. Wanted to 'do' some Malls!
I got a full size-Impala-$30 all taxes incl. They pulled it up to the front Lobby door and I dropped it same place.

We got a full size car from MCO this past christmas from Dec 25 - Jan 4 and it cost us $527 Canadian tax in. We booked it through expedia.ca 2 days before we left and we couldn't find a better price in Kissimmee or near down town Disney.

Alamo has a rental desk at the Car Care Centre (just outside the MK), and will pick up at any on-site resort. Just call the day before, or at least 1 hour before for your ride.

Hess gas station in the same building, so you can fill up right there before returning... if you're paying cash it's prepay only so you'll have to "guess" first - or use a credit card at the pump.

They had a weekend deal on their website... $10/day! Cost me $57 all in for 4 days plus $8.50 in gas.

OK I dont know if this is the one I already posted on but I got an economy car at Alamo for $33.60 a day taxes incl. I used code 299851 and Rate EXPD. I just came back last week and used it on 2 different cars. I put in dates on a website and this came up.


Ok just looked thru and clearly I posted on here..lol!!! I did use Dollar and have no problem. As I said above I used Alamo. I got these codes by accident but they worked with no problem. I checked in online, got my car and went thru the little booth at the exit with the person in it. They asked for driver licence and credit card...processed and we were off!!!!

bestjsp....checkin online, it is so easy then just go right out to the parking lot and go to the isle that has your type of car, the keys are in the door , pick one, go to the little booth and that is it...

Minnie....I actually did it the opposite way about 3 weeks ago. I got it at Tampa airport and dropped off at car care center that evening. We were coming in from a cruise and spending a few days at Disney . I used the code I posted on here too.

thanks for the links and codes guys. were looking at maybe doing a day rental while there to do a bit of outlet/florida mall shopping. im a woman on a mission! lol time is our issue now. kids want to swim on our off days, and i want to shop, but weve got our ressies to make too!

we rented in 2005 from a car place on disney property. i think it was national altho not sure. they picked hubby up, he signed it out, came back got me and they shuttled us back to the resort at the end of the day. the rate was insane i think 80 bucks? but it was so long ago i cant remember.
