We have decided that we should be ok with Disney transportation for our Sept. trip. I was wondering that if our DD 1yo should prove difficult, we could rent a car from our resort during our trip?
Yep! Alamo and National rent from The Car Care Center. There is also a car rental place at the Dolphin and a couple of the off-property Downtown Disney hotels.
We did 2 trips to WDW with our DD, first @ 6 months & then @ 20 months. Both times we only used Disney transportation and left the car seat behind since you cannot use them on ME anyway. It was great. It is easiest if you can use a carrier for the little ones while on the bus since you have to fold the stroller, and then they are still contained. We also made sure to have a few toys for her to play with on the ride. We had our moments, but no one seemed too upset since it was just the bus and she is still a baby...
Just about all the rental companies have a location on WDW property and have a courtesy shuttle to pick you up - be sure to check them all for the best price.
