Car Rental for s Couple of Days at Disney

We just booked for 10 nights April 29 - May 9th at Carribean Beach, I want to rent a car for a couple of days - not the whole trip - just to get to Seaworld and get groceries etc...where can I rent and what are the cheapest days? Any help appreciated...

Go to the Dolphin. You can rent a National car there. That is the closest to where you are staying. You can go to Mousesavers and Google to find discount codes for National.

My experience is a couple of days might cost as much as having a car for the whole trip. We tried renting at Disney this upcoming trip and it was just too expensive. So we are renting at Mco and returning there. So far 23 have a rate of $140 for 8 days total.

I have seen some decent codes for a weekend rate. You'd need to have the car over a saturday night. That might work for you.

If you're flexible with the days you have the car, I agree with the last post that you should look at a Saturday night keepover for the car. Weekend discounts can sometimes be quite good.

Along with the Dolphin, check the rates at the Car Care Center (which is at the Hess station you pass as you are driving out of the Magic Kingdom). The Dolphin and the Car Care Center locations are both Alamo and National. The Alamo location code for the CCC is ORLR72 and the Dolphin is ORLR74. I'd check the rates for both locations.

The way it works, at least for the Car Care Center, is that you book your reservation online as you normally would. The day before you want the car, you should call the local Alamo number for the CCC (not the 800 number for Alamo). Tell them a time you'd like to be picked up at CBR (probably about a half hour before your rental is to begin) and they'll come pick you up. When you drop the car back off, the shuttle will take you back to CBR (or whereever you'd like to go on property).

Also keep in mind you can rent from MCO and return to CCC/Dolphin or vice versa. There usually aren't drop off charges
