been away from the boards for a while but w/another visit to the "world" in May i find myself in need of help from you diser's ! last trip in Nov. 2000 the cost of a rental vehicle was about half of what it is now. whats goin on? i can see the cost increasing somewhat but double? i need some suggestions please ?

I'm in the same boat. I checked my records from 2001 and my weekly rate for full size was $113. Now the best I have is $205 for a week, same size car! Ridiculous!!! I check every day with hopes that it will go down. I had a better rate initially that I booked last November, but had to change my dates and ended up paying more. Good luck!
