Car rental choice at TPA - Budget or AVIS

Hello,

I have used the skip the counter service with both Budget and AVIS at MCO. With AVIS, I never I was able to skip the counter the first time at MCO. With Budget I waited 1+ hour in the sweltering garage line when FastBreak was not ready for me.

Next trip we are flying into TPA to save $$. Anyone care to share their first rental experience at TPA with either Budget or AVIS and if you were able to skip the counter?

I haven't rented from Budget or Avis at TPA, but Alamo is quick and easy.

Agreed. Only problem I had was the Alamo kiosk was having trouble scanning my drivers license. Other than that it was quick and easy.
