Car Hire near Universal

Hi Guys,

We need to hire a car for a couple of days and want to pick it up near Universal and drop it back at Disney.

I know Hertz have a counter at the Hard Rock but their prices are very expensive. Are there any car hire locations near by?

I am staying at the RPR for seven nights in September and also hiring a car from Hertz for two days.
The rates were quite high and I actually got a discount code from mousesavers which saved me quite a bit.
I'm not sure what other companies are near by but you could have a look at google maps near universal and search "car rental" to see what companies come up.

Behind PBH (at entrance to Universal) is a DoubleTree which has an Avis and across the street from that is a Holiday Inn Express which has Budget (rental code: M04). Both hotels are within walking distance from the PBH (appx 10 min or so)...on Major Blvd I think.

You're welcome and not that I'm aware of. I know of those 2 because we always pick-up or return a car to the Budget while staying onsite.

There is a Thrifty on International Drive - it's about 5 miles away. In addition, Alamo is near by at the Four Points Sheraton. Last time, I rented from Alamo b/c rates were less expensive. Took a cab from HRH to Sheraton and it's a quick 3-5 min drive.

Found the Alamo and we are using them as we can drop the car back at the Swan and Dolphin which is in walking distance of the Boardwalk villas.
