Car Hire in Honolulu for Cruise Port?

Hi All,
Not sure anyone will be able to help me, but not having much joy on Cruise Critic, so thought I'd give it a go!

We need to hire a car in Oahu and want to pick up at Honolulu Airport and drop off wherever will get us closest to the cruise terminal for NCL's Pride of America.

I'm struggling to confirm the exact details for the port/pier - even NCL's website doesn't seem to have the address, which is a little concerning - I'm sure we'll get more info sent nearer the time with our tickets, but I'd really like to sort the car hire out now.

Can anyone help?

I live on Oahu, but I'm not sure exactly, but I can give you my best guess.

The cruise ports are near the Aloha Tower on Nimitz/Ala Moana Blvd. All the piers are near there. So google Aloha Tower and you should find them. It is located across from downtown Honolulu.

As for car rentals near the ports, off the top of my head I can't think of any really. There is an Enterprise in between the airport and Aloha Tower on Nimitz Hwy, but that's all I can think of.

It is not far from the airport to the ports. Maybe 15-25 minutes if its not during a busy traffic time or 30-45 minutes if during traffic time. Look at a map and follow Nimitz from the airport to downtown, that's the distance.

It might be cheaper to rent your car at the airport, and return it there and take a cab to the ports. But you should also check out Enterprise, as it is a little closer to the ports and they might drive you to the ports as they have that drive service also. Not sure what the difference in cost would be for a different drop off/pick up location.

The car rentals at the airport you have to take a very short shuttle ride to the car rental locations. I think only Hertz has one you can walk to, that is across from baggage claim, but that one is at the very end of the airport, near the United Terminal. All the rest is a short shuttle ride.

Are you staying in Waikiki? I'd say the pier's are just about in the middle between the airport and Waikiki, being alittle closer to the airport.
